The First Episode that Made You Stop Watching SpongeBob for a While

The first episode I hated was All That Glitters

The first episode that made me turn off my TV was the Splinter.

The last series episode I watched before I stopped watching SpongeBob altogether was Toy Store of Doom and Tunnel of Glove (This was before it actually aired on Nick and I did not like this episode).

Like Popeye, I think I just gradually lost interest in SpongeBob. I don't remember but at some point I stopped watching the show for a while. Even back then I thought All That Glitters was pretty bad and it was probably the first episode I absolutely hated.

I remember that I stopped watching during the Thanksgiving marathon in 2008. There wasn't an exact episode that made me quit, but rather the overall declining quality of the episodes. I only came back after joining SBM in 2012.

I gradually lost interest in the show as well. I didn't decide it was bad from one particular episode, but rather I just didn't feel like watching regularly anymore- sometime around season 6. Episodes like Suction Cup Symphony, Squid's Visit, Pineapple Fever, and Professor Squidward (some of my least favorite episodes of all time) made me feel like the show just wasn't the same anymore and that the writers seemed to be targeting younger kids. And honestly season 7 was just bad.

Choir Boys: watching that episode on its premiere alone was enough to make me realise that SpongeBob wasn't the same anymore. The long line of bad episodes from season 6 before this one also made me notice the drop in quality. Season 7 was barely any help.

The season 7 episodes. That was when I was 11, and I started to notice how Spongebob wasn't the same due to the fact that if I were to watch the first four seasons in comparison to the later seasons, they don't feel the same. It made me watch it less, and much less when Little Yellow Book and Spongebob, You're Fired! aired, and I don't like both of those episodes.
