That idea is overused too much. Seeing how Season 9 uses Plankton a lot.
 
Here's some confirmed notes

* This will star Antonio Banderas as the villain and Slash will be singing a big musical number.
* It will be darker and more serious than the first film.
* It will be a mix of 2D, 3D, and Live Action.
* SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, Squidward, Plankton, Sandy, Karen, and Gary will return.
* It will involve pirates, the Krabby Patty, and a beach community.
* It will be the first Nicktoons film to get a sequel that's not spun-off from Rugrats.
That is all I know so far. If anyone has updates, I'd love to see them.
I also heard that a Legend of Korra, a Dora the Explorer (Nick's other mascot), and Fairly OddParents will be getting films thanks to this new Paramount Animation Company.
 
Anyone know any other characters that'll appear? Besides SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, Plankton, Gary, Karen, and Sandy?
I'd really like to see appearances of characters like: Pearl, Mrs. Puff, Larry, Squillaim, Mermaid Man (it would be sad without Ernie Borgnine though), Barnacle Boy, and Bubble Bass.
 
They need to have more stuff from the classic episodes in the movies. The Alaskan Bull-Worm, Wormy, all make cameo appearances or even major roles. If a third film were to be made it should focus on Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy with major roles since they weren't even in the first film.

a enemy team up like spidermans sinister six with Plankton, Dennis, Doodle Bob, Man-Ray, The Dirty Bubble and a another character would be amazing. They all plan to destroy and take over the whole sea (or Bikini Bottom) and plan to get Spongebob, Patrick, Krabs, Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy since they all have something personal with them. That would be a really dark direction for a spongebob film lmao

Where did you hear that it will be darker than the first?
Also, a FoP movie? I always thought that would be cool.

On FaceBook. Paul Tibbitt said so. More suspense and thrill means more wham moments. Now I really need to see this film.
Plus, a Fairly OddParents Movie has been in development hell since 2005, but thanks to Hey Arnold the Movie and Rugrats Go Wild being a disaster and waste of time, they stopped making Nicktoons films even though SB the Movie was a box office, critical, marketing, and commercial hit. Thanks to Paramount Animation opening, they'll probably make more Nicktoons films. As I said, FOP the Movie, Dora the Explorer Movie, and Legend of Korra Movie are in development.

Before we find out the plot, why don't any of you guys predict the plot for now?
By the way, you guys think other characters like Pearl, Mrs. Puff, Barnacle Boy, Larry, Mermaid Man, and Squillaim will appear besides the excellent 8? It'd be kinda sad without Ernie Borgnine though.

That doesn't mean it'll be dark. He probably meant that it'll be more action-packed, not depressing and dark...
 
For all we know, the plot is about pirates, battle, the Krabby Patty, and a beach community. I feel like this time, Sponge Meets World for a lot longer. Guest stars will be Antonio Banderas and Slash. The rest of the guest stars are unknown. Antonio Banderas will be the villain and do a large battle with a spatula and there will be a ship crash in the movie.,
The movie will be a mix of 3D, 2D, and Live Action. Since this will apparently be better than movie #1, I'm gonna see it on the first day. I see a huge marketing for the film in the works. Just like The Cat in the Hat did (too bad the movie was awful and ruined the Dr. Seuss name).

I also assume there will be a reference to the first film such as Shell City making a cameo when the heroes go to Salty Shoals.
* They pass Shell City and there is a sign that says "Out of Business".
Even though the show might be cancelled after this film, it will most likely get us those other 3 Nicktoons films: Fairly OddParents, Legend of Korra, and Dora the Explorer. This movie sure will make a difference thanks to the new Paramount Animation Company.
 
The show was confirmed to be renewed for a tenth season after the movie, so it won't be ending anytime soon.
