Previously in 2016-2018 the opinion regarding Post-Sequel was mostly positive, praising many of the episodes that were coming out at the time like Two Thumbs Down, Sharks Vs Pods, Mimic Madness, Feral Friends, Squid Noir, My Leg!.

Of course, It wasn't all praise as there were also those episodes that people didn't like like The Fish Bowl, Mutiny On The Krusty, Snooze You Lose, Out Of The Picture, Cuddle. Hugs, however, most of them had a positive opinion of the new episodes.

Until Ink Lemonade arrived and it was the episode that ruined that good streak that the new episodes were getting, although there were episodes like Chefbob, Plankton Paranoia, Karen Virus and The Night Patty that got good reception, the opinions began to become more mixed with the passing of the episodes, so coming to S12, where the opinions were divided like never before.
I used to be biased towards post-sequel and against seasons 6-7 so even with episodes like Ink Lemonade I didn't think it was THAT bad. It's just that people saw the episode in a darker way than me I guess, since maybe it was adults reviewing it and I was only 13 when it came out and I have mild autism so maybe my impaired social skills made me miss some of the darker implications of Patrick torturing Squidward the way he did. Idk.

Eugene looks a bit post movie in some markerbob episodes. He's also a more pinkish red in Pranks a Lot than in the other markerbob episodes:

No not really but season 4 of SpongeBob does feel reminiscent of a Saturday morning cartoon due to the animation, tone, and writing style.
Maybe I only thought it looked like Catscratch because I've had the Nick Picks 3 DVD
as long as I can remember, and it had Fear of a Krabby Patty and a Catscratch episode on it. So I could be biased.

Still, some things about early Season 4 remind me of Catscratch like the thicker lines and higher frame rate.

Also for some reason Season 1 Patrick reminds me of Season 1 of Dora the Explorer for some reason.

Was season 1 of Dora cel animated? I remember it having very bad dot crawl.

I always thought it was since I was a little kid. To me it was always like Dora's equivalent of SpongeBob's Season 1, a first season with darker colors.

A lot of shows stopped using cel animation after around 1998-2000, like they wanted to update their technology for the new millenium.

Season 1 of SpongeBob’s cel animation used to scare me as a kid, so much so that because of it, I stopped watching it for a while when I was little.
