Top 10 BEST Season 8 Episodes

8 Yes this is reasonable.
7: No no just no. :) I don't even have to bring that AWFUL Pearl cameo into this, and the episode still falls worse than Patrick in No Hat For Pat. (Not character wise, the literal action)
 
#6: Treats


Rating: 9.6/10

Review: An amazing Gary episode. His episodes are usually good for the most part, and this one is amazing. The constant meowing was a little annoying, but funny at the same time. One part that I've always laughed at, was when that worker guy kept interrupting SB and talking over him. The plot was pretty good, and they managed to entertain you throughout the whole episode having Gary do all these stunts, and then traveling around the world to find the treats. Really good episode.



#5: Mermaidman Begins


Rating: 9.6/10

Review: Hands down, one of the best MM and BB episode out there. I think I've said this before, but I'm not too big on MM and BB episodes. They're mostly boring. But this one and a few others are excellent. We get an origin story! And a funny one too, because turns out, it was just the overcooked popcorn even though they led you to believe it was all these crazy things around the city that gave them superpowers. This episode is wacky, it's funny, it's interesting, and everyone is likeable here and again, the plot twist was funny, having it be the overcooked popcorn. Very solid and great episode.
 
I completely agree with both of these, Treats is so irresistibly adorable and Mermaid Man Begins was a very interesting insight on their origin story.
 
...You know, I actually agree with this list for once. All of these episodes are pretty good. :)
 
I heard both episodes were good.
 
#10 - It felt like a ripoff at first to me but it quickly showed how great it really is.
#9 - That episode is just... eh.
#8 - It's... okay. I found the aliens to be kind of creepy, though.
#7 - WHY ISN'T THIS HIGHER ON THE LIST? Ah, don't worry. It's really my favorite season 8 episode.
#6 - Oh god, another great episode... Undeniably, this has to be one of the best season 8 episodes... Why state that when this is a top 10 list?
#5 - Good but not great.
#4 - It was ok... I'm not the largest fan of musical episodes, so yeah. (Don't worry, MOST songs in Spongebob are good (I'm looking at YOU, Best Day Ever...))
#3 - True, it is underrated. Really, my favorite quote from this episode sounds really out-of-context, no matter what. Anyways...
#2 - Haven't watched it yet but I can say ONE thing: it will never be better than "Christmas Who?".
#1 - This episode was... ok at best. My favorite part was the return of the Bikini Atoll nuclear test footage, that (sadly) never fails at making me laugh.

Review: This was the season finale and it was an awesome way to end this great season. It has lots of good songs and music, humor, and character development too, I'd say. It was a different episode involving SpongeBob and Squidward because although he was annoyed, they ended up playing together in the end for one of the greatest songs in the show. Did it match Band Geeks? Quite possibly. It was an emotional episode towards the end and the song was great, like I said before. The song in the beginning did drag on for a bit the first time I saw it, but now I learned to appreciate it. Fantastic half hour episode.



#3: A Friendly Game



Rating: 10/10

Review: And so I've heard that this episode is not too liked among many people.... I'm very surprised at that because this one has always been one of my favorites in the entire series. One major thing I enjoyed about this episode is how funny it was. A game between SpongeBob and Patrick, and them constantly trying to throw each other off their game was hilarious. It was just a simple game of minigolf, turned into a masterpiece of an episode. I love when the show is able to turn something simple into something so great, like this episode. When the game was taken to Squidwards house, it was even funnier. Who honestly cares about Squid abuse at this point?? IT'S FUNNY. And that's all there is to it, just an amazing funny episode.
 
I agree with other choices as well. A Friendly Game is one of the few episodes that SpongeBob and Patrick's damage work for me.
 
4 I loved it a great way to end a great season.

3 i play golf and i thought this episode was pretty funny! Besides squidwards house getting wrecked its all good

If there was one episode that I ALMOST loved...ALMOST...it would be that one. The last few minutes of that episode were horrible.

#2: It's A SpongeBob Christmas



Rating: 10/10

Review: What can I say, I'm a sucker for any christmas episode on any show. This is an example. This episode pretty much has it all and incorporates the spirit of the holidays so well. One major plus is the Patchy segments. They're about 1-2 minutes each time, so they didn't drag on and they were actually funny! Also, before I go any further, the fact that this episode was made entirely in stop motion was awesome. It's a one time thing, and it makes this episode feel even more special. All the songs were really catchy and memorable, especially, Don't Be A Jerk. I used to sing that all the time with my friend during the holidays. Anyways, the plot. It was another Plankton centered episode, but It doesn't matter here IMO. The episode already makes you feel happy enough, that you wouldn't even care if the actual plot was bad. But I actually did like the plot. I think it was a parody to something. And yeah, I'll stop talking here. Amazing, jolly episode.

#1: Frozen Face-Off



Rating: 11/10

Review: This episode almost made it as #2, while It's a SB XMas almost got this spot, but I decided to give #1 to this episode right here. Wow oh wow, this episode is beyond amazing. I'd like to start by saying, so many characters were used. And they were all used awesomely! Even Plankton's side plot was cool and funny too. Not only did they used ALL the main characters, but they managed to use other cool characters like Karen! :) So of course, we get lots of cool and rare character interactions, and just an overall episode that keeps you hooked and laughing the entire time. I also really loved that stop motion monster! It was a silly appearance, but it was memorable. Squidward getting frozen multiple times was also a nice little gag that's always funny. Everyone had something to contribute, and It all made for an excellent half hour episode, and one of the best of the series. And the best of the season. There's probably a lot more to it on why I like it that I can't really put into words, but it's just an outstanding episode, IMO.


Thank you to all who followed my lists, and I hope you enjoyed, even though you may not have agreed with some of them. I hope to do more lists in the future. And as for the revision lists of my top 10 worst, I think I'll delay it until I'm ready, probably later this Summer.

Frozen Face Off is meh and I really want to watch It's A Spongebob Christmas.
 
I love both specials. Frozen Face Off is so underrated. The Christmas special is awesome too.
