First off, this season is truly amazing. So many honorable mentions that got cut out the list, but the 10 episodes here are the top ones. Starting now!

#10: Bubble Buddy Returns



Rating: 9/10

Review: It was a battle for which episode was gonna take the number one spot. TBH, Demolition Doofus was a possibility for this spot... 😓 But no more spoilers. This episode is really great. Not sure if it beats the original, but nonetheless it's still really great. I loved the continuity to a classic episode from season 2, I loved the kid, Shiny, I loved the simple babysitting plot and Shiny getting into lots of trouble etc. This episode is funny, memorable, and I just love it. And wow, this is only the number 10 spot, and I'm already talking about it like it's a masterpiece.


#9: The Way Of The Sponge



Rating: 9.1/10

Review: An excellent karate episode. Or shall I say, ka-ra-tay. Love how both SpongeBob and Sandy is involved as well as a new character, Fuzzy Acorns. (Interesting name..... If you know what I mean) o.o Anyways, this is definitely an entertaining and funny episode. It's also really underrated I feel. So yeah, I'm a big fan of any type of karate episode or episodes where Sandy goes back to her original extreme self. All the main characters were used well and the way SB got the belt at the end was funny because he didn't even realize what was going on with Fuzzy. Yeah, like I said, really awesome episode.
 
I haven't watched too much of this season (only saw probably like 10 episodes of the full 47)

I should probably watch both of these. They both sound very interesting.

9: OK.... not top 10 or above 9/10 rating at all honestly that one was bland and mediocre.
 
Bubble Buddy Returns, uh, I'll give it credit for being one of the rare times an episode actually has full-blown continuity, but besides that there isn't much to offer besides the same old joke about Shiny being a brat and trying to kill himself with sharp objects, and that's pretty much it. The Way of the Sponge, however, is excellent and criminally underrated. I really love the homage to movies like The Karate Kid and Rocky, I really love that there's a new character that can present new challanges, and even if he is cruel to him, he gets a funny payback played off by SpongeBob doing what he does well and understands his wrong, allowing our main characters to accomplish thier goal. I really laughed consistently throughout it, from the thought that Sandy's in danger, to the deconstruction of the "working all night" trope, to forgetting that Fuzzy can't breathe (It's funny here because he did it to himself and it goes quickly, unlike it's sister). So, yeah, probably my second favorite of the season.

#8: Planet Of The Jellyfish



Rating: 9.3/10

Review: Amazing episode. It's great that it gets lots of praising because it's one of the best for this season. It kind of felt like a zombie apocalypse with everyone getting cloned and attacking and stuff. Is this episode a parody of something? Anyways, I loved these different types of jellyfish and the plot in general. It had a different but great feel for a SB episode, and it was different from other plots I'd say. A season 8 classic.


#7: Drive Thru


Rating: Underrated/10

Review: Very, very underrated. My number 7 pick, and it deserves this spot, even higher than Planet Of The Jellyfish. Yeah. The idea of a Drive Through seems like another one of Krabs' cheap ways to get money, and it was, but it was one of his most entertaining ways. So many funny parts and scenes. Plankton was great with his appearance, even Pearl! It's a big Krusty Krab episode, but an extremely successful one at that. And Mr. Krabs' cheap machine of a can attached to a string was hilarious. A funny, underrated season 8 gem.
 
I haven't seen Planet of The Jellyfish. I heard it's great. And I dislike Drive Thru. Only because of Mr. Krabs.
 
Eh, to me Drive Thru is just a pointless reminder of what we already know and unfortunately slow with unneeded ravenous behavior. Sure, Krabs gets his payoff for his cheapness, but it's in a way that'd affect the entire town, and it just feels slow. Planet of the Jellyfish is extremely overrated.
 
Drive Thru = Eh. We don't get many jokes that aren't repetitious. Way too many jokes revolving around Mr. Krabs being cheap. Not an episode for any top ten.

Planet of the Jellyfish is good though.
