I mostly blame the Spin-Offs for that, if they didn't exist S14 would have started earlier, and S15 would have probably been announced last year

Hmmm maybe. But there’s no doubting post movie came out oddly. Look at seasons 9/10 especially.

I guess both but I mean release schedule. There’s no logic behind how Nickelodeon releases it. Production is slow and then dumped randomly without any ceremony

Ahh, you have a point, Nickelodeon's airing schedule is actually quite strange, it is not like Cartoon Network that tries to air the episodes in a concise way, Nick airs the episodes in disarray and in a fairly long time, Goodbye Krabby Patty was supposed to premiere in summer of 2016, but was delayed until Presidents' Day of 2017 ending the season almost 5 years after it started.

i'm kinda conflicted on this. it's cool that spongebob is still going strong but i was not a fan of s13, and from the looks of the plots from s14, it doesn't look its any better (it's probably to early to judge though). i'm also kinda hoping that the show ends after this one or s16. i really want the show to have an actual ending before the inevitable happens

Tom Kenny is the man behind the voice of SpongeBob and Gary. he probably wanted the show to keep continuing on forever before we will eventually find out when it is time for the show to wrap it up
