I decided to make a new thread rather than unlocking the other thread.
Was there any reason why the show ended so abruptly? Apparently there was an episode shown in November 2004 and after that there was no new episodes. I don't think it was because Klasky Csupo shut down or anything, in fact I'm pretty sure they are still going. Was it because of All Grown Up?
Generally, the show's peak is probably the episodes that were produced before the hiatus with the old animation style (see: SpongeBob season 1) rather than the sort of updated style (see: SpongeBob season 2 and 3). I don't think there's anything particularly wrong with them because, well, they are Rugrats episodes and so I can't really tell if there ever was a quality change since the show was not written in the same way as SB.
I don't mind Dil or the other new characters but it just felt as though these new episodes shouldn't really have happened.
Then of course All Grown Up came along, that was pretty cool, it had a good theme tune. I think this was actually a good show and it was a great idea to see what the Rugrats would be like in their teens, although I think they sort of stayed too close to the original characters and so in hindsight it's a bit freaky that they're still the same people, and that they haven't changed much at all since they were 1 year old haha.
