tbh in have you this snail I didn't think he was sweet because he told spongebob it was his fault. I don't have a problem with him seeing gary and not doing anything because it was funny and believable. I found him to be pretty funny in that episode.
Of course he would see Gary and do nothing. He's an idiot.
Just like how he saw Spongebob's nametag in Missing Identity and didn't say anything. He's that stupid.

I don't know how long Patrick was sitting there on Spongebob's couch comforting the guy as he was crying, but it must have been a pretty damn long time, since Spongebob eventually ran out of tears.

I just didn't find him that sweet :dunno: but he was funny.

Nonetheless, Patrick can either be a lovable starfish or a big fat meanie jerk. But at the end of the day, we all still love him, right? I mean look at him!!

I think it's just about impossible to hate anything that cute. He's precious!!

I'm not sure if I interpret "Nature Pants" the wrong way, but... here's how I read it.

After Spongebob supposedly abandoned Patrick, Patrick temporarily went insane. He was legitimately trying to kill Spongebob by stuffing him into a jar and suffocating/starving him, just to keep him as "a trophy."

That episode is so weird. I'm really not sure WHAT the intention was.

I understand the point you're getting to. It DID come off as a pretty creepy.

Was he trying to trap Spongebob and keep him there forever, or actually kill him by suffocating him? Either way that episode was incredibly creepy.

I am thinking keeping him there forever so he wouldn't leave again. Suffocating him sounds waayy to creepy and dark. O.o

As a kid I always took it literally, so it was always super creepy to me. When you keep an animal as a trophy, you have to kill them first. Possibly taxidermy.

True, possibly theory. I seriously see it being like a creepypasta or whatever. :P

IRL, starfish are bloodthirsty killers. I wouldn't be surprised if Spongebob's sweetness was the only thing keeping Patrick's homicidal and maniacal tendencies in check.

Action in the rest of episode ignored:
- Karate Star: Rips the hand that hurts his friend.
- Tunnel of Glove: Insists that he must save SpongeBob despite the police stops hime.

I never hated Patrick though. The only episode where I dislike him is Pet Sitter Pet, Ditchin', The Card, and maybe New Student Starfish.
