From : Season 5

Once upon a time, this episode was the highest rated episode in this site. And honestly, I don't get it. I mean, I can see this episode's quality, but with the flaws it had, I don't think this deserves the title of "best episode." The pacing is slightly too quick. Just slightly. But for that matter, it would probably be better for me to blame this episode's hectic nature.

I'd tap that...

However, that mad pace is also exactly why this episode is great. Well, the action-packed second half of it. I mean, don't get me wrong, the setup is well maintained, but it's too quick. Once the episode move closer and closer to the climax, the chaotic pacing makes more sense. But you don't need to do it from the beginning. Nevertheless, it was a funny exciting episode with a very well written plot.

I think Krabs a La Mode became the highest rated episode because It's only rated 10/10 by a few people who adore the episode. Anyway, that one is my second favorite season 5 episode. It has a lot of funny moments and It's really entertaining.

Krabs à la Mode is an episode that seems like it's from the pre-movie era. Good choice!

This episode is cheesy. Very very cheesy. I feel like an American after I watch this episode, because I like it. I actually like this cheesy piece of episode. I couldn't help to find the story weak. I couldn't help but find the conflict weak ("Jerktonium" like, really?). I don't even like Plankton in this episode. But it's still a good episode.

Is this 1976?...

The animation is the only reason. It's the only reason why I like the episode. It's the only reason why it's on my list. Heck, if the actual substance of this episode is handled well enough, it would've been number 1. I literally have nothing more to say. I don't like the substance, but the style is so fabulous that I have to give it a place.

I love this episode. I have a good feeling when I watch it. The animation was really great. So were the musical numbers. Only 2 complains. a) Santa's obliviousness and b) Christmas Who? did better.

This is one of the most interesting episodes ever. It really is the perfect word to describe this episode. Interesting. It's an episode about the origins of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. Even with them appearing in many episodes, this is a question that no one knows the answer to, even by season 8. And no one really ever thought about it, so when the episode showed up, everyone's like "Yeah. How did they come together?"

He's... kinda hot.

It's not only interesting, it's also pretty funny as well. The crowning moment of awesome has got to be the actual transformation. Where Ernie and Tim went through all the superhero cliches, fooling everyone that this is a part of their change. And then it ends with them still fully humans. Until they ate burnt popcorn, which then led to them changing into superheroes.

Rest in Peace Ernest Borgine. You will be missed. :(

From : Season 6

We've finally arrived to the top 10. The big shots. The true greats that will look homely between the classics. But before that, here's the last near-miss episode. It's called Overbooked, and it's about SpongeBob trying to fit all of his scheduled meetings with his friends. A very relatable plot for someone who can't say no to anyone. It really is annoying to have too much things to do with your mates, but it feels a lot more annoying to disappoint them.

Anyone up for undersea stripping?

What surprised me about this episode is how much weight the plot brings. I'm actually surprised I haven't seen this kind of plot before in the show. And the writers did well to execute the episode. It's a really good episode that would've been in the top 10 had it been a bit funnier. The biggest laugh I got from this episode was the scabies cake joke, which is more of an uncomfortably comfortable laughter.

A few years ago I found a website to watch Spongebob episodes online, but I started going there in the dark times of Seasons 6 and 7. This one was my favorite, along with Squidward in Clarinetland.

And now, time to wait for the top 10

'Kay, we're in the top 10 now. Just wanna thank the peeps (probably 2-3 of them) that have been taking notice of my list since the very beginning. Means a lot. 'Kay, to the episode. When I first saw the episode, I thought it was gonna be serious. I thought it would be an actually serious story about an old ghost and his issues. Which I would very much accept and hopefully can enjoy. However I was wrong. Dead wrong.

Terrifying.

This episode is a bit like the first Transformers movie. It had too much going on and too many enjoyable moments that distract us from the real deal. That is the story. And I'm totally cool with that. It's a totally brand new concept I haven't seen before in this show. It's funny, refreshing, and just an overall good way to settle in and relax after a hard day in life. I don't really have anything much to talk about in terms of technical stuffs (the story, the characters, etc.) because this episode's utterly hilarious ridiculousness is distracting me to notice any of the technical issues. It's a bit messed up, but that makes it enjoyable.

I thought this special was just okay. Good for a SpongeBob special, but on it's own it wasn't too great.
