131b. A Pal for Gary

It might be because I'm a horrible person, but I also like this episode. I find Spongebob telling Gary to put PF down when it's the opposite I just found ironic and hilarious. I mean hell, I don't see why people are calling it animal abuse, it's a cartoon!

I wouldn't go as far to say this is an animal abuse episode. It was Puffy Fluffy attacking Gary, not SpongeBob. He was just being an oblivious freak. It's actually natural for an animal to be attacked by another animal.
 
I'm gonna counteract the negativity with a little bit of positivity. I really like the musical cues when Spongebob is slowly closing the door at the start, it's really cute.

...but that's about all the positivity I can muster.

WHY DIDN'T THEY DO THIS IN MORE VERSIONS? IT WOULD MAKE THIS EPISODE BETTER (still not good though)
 
I rewatched this episode and I'm not that bothered by it anymore. I actually kind of...like it. 7/10, good episode.

Ok, time for a re-review. Scratch that last review of mine.

Honestly, I still hate this episode with a burning passion, but I will say that this is NOT quite animal abuse. I hated that Puffy Fluffy tried to attack Gary because i take Gary as the equivalent of a house cat and I don't like when abuse happens to him, and it wasn't funny at all in this episode. The design of Puffy Fluffy as a monster was disgusting, but I can sorta see why the designers made him that way. The problem is, the design is not funny, it is creepy and disgusting. Spongebob was way OOC, and the way he said "Gary! Put Puffy Fluffy down right now!" was, IMO, a failed attempt at creating irony. The beginning just felt soooo slow and boring, but the second half of the episode really make me MAD. Spongebob should have known that Puffy Fluffy is mean to other animals, but he just took the Puffy Fluffy without listening to the lady's warning. The second half of the episode really made me uncomfortable. The writers can do better than this. This episode is just horrible. It is just unforgivable and unwatchable! Get this stuff away from my face and it will be good. Even worse, IT LACKED FUNNY JOKES. Guess they were too busy caring about the flanderization of Spongebob.

Amazing episode! This is the holy grail of SpongeBob. This is the best episode of the series. SpongeBob blaming Gary and Puffy FLuffy almost killing Gary is so lel and hilarious! COMEDY GOLD. 1000/10
 
Worst episode ever. I think the animators were on drugs when they made this.

I think this episode is bad, but no THAAAAAT BAD. No, I dont think this is the worst episdoe of the series, but it still is really bad. I liked the monster design of Puffy Fluffy. I also kind of liked the part wher puffy slipped from his (her I dont know) fur. But other than that, it all sucks from there.
