Your Family Tree

Cool about Robert E. Lee.

For me, we're supposedly related to John Hancock (yes, THE). My mom's side of the family shares the same last name. I just don't know how closely related. (I never really put a lot of thought or interest in it before.)

Robert E. Lee? John Hancock? Jeez, I better get mine in here quick.

In my family tree we have John Alden, the first guy to get off the leaky boat at Plymouth Rock. Alden is apparently also an ancestor of the Adamses, so perhaps that means that they are in my family tree as well. Wouldn't be surprising.

In terms of my family tree more generically, my father's side of the family is mostly British with some French. My uncle actually would call my late grandmother "mum." My mother's side of the family is German with some Austrian, Polish, Hungarian, and a little Irish as well. :)

Robert E Lee is actually in my tree.
I want you to know that to me Robert E. Lee is one of the most underrated generals in 19th century america.

As for me no one famous :( . But my dad won an award for his work in psychology yesterday.

Alright I dont wanna sound mean but how do some people have like five ethnicities in their family tree? Like RSF your older relatives sound super diverse and I dont get it.

I thought it aired in 2007....

I thought Robert E. Lee was one of the best American generals of all time. He whooped the Yankees pretty good at the beginning of the Civil War

Not sure if there are any famous people in my family. My ancestors came from Spain, probably from the Balearic or Canary Islands, but so far we don't know much about where we come from. I was told that one of my ancestors fled Spain after he murdered someone, and another one worked for the Spanish probably for the military. But so far no famous people.

Humm, A distant parent of my family, that my sister searched about is Adolf Hitler.
I'm not kidding.
We still don't have enough proof of it, but the person who was searching about our lastnames said that we could really be a distant parent of him... O.O

My ancestors came from germany, italy, and some were russian. my gramma's father was a italian, and my gramma's mom was a indian...
crazy uh, all these people from another country and I never went to the beach LOL

Oh, far as where my family hails from, my grandparents on my father's side are Czech (bohemian, I believe). I think they immigrated to the US as children. Though we actually had an extensive family tree professionally done/made, I'm fuzzy on the exact details and don't have a copy of it myself. My father and his brothers were born in the US, though, and did not learn the language (something I find very, very regretful, because I know I'd have loved to have been raised bilingual.

From my mother's side it's British, Scottish, and some Irish. An extensive family tree has not been made to my knowledge, so I can't give any specifics . The relatives I know (it's a HUGE family) on that side were all born in US.

As a staunch Northern Massachusetts abolitionist, all this talk extolling Robert E. Lee bothers me. :P

I don't if I'm related with somebody famous (Indonesians are really bad at keeping historical record). As far as I know, I'm a fully native Indonesian, although there's a hint of Indian blood from my Mom's side.

Ah, and my Dad said one of his grandpa was a plantation foreman working for Colonial government while his other grandpa was a village chief. Meanwhile my grandpa was a guerrilla fighter during the Indonesian national revolution. He later continued serving in the army and become a Major.

Don't think there's any famous people on either side of my family tree. But both of my parents and their families are Jamaican, while my mom has some English and Scottish on her side because of her white father.

How do you guys find it out....is there some site or what
Yes, we have all found out via this revolutionary new website that has been sweeping the interweb.

Its url is www.parents.reallife. :P

Well, I can say that one of my family members has met someone famous. My dad's brother is in the Jamaican military and met Prince Harry.

I'm adopted so I know very minimal information on my actual family tree. Though I did meet someone I am distantly related to randomly at a park once.

I don't know much about my adoptive family either, and I don't really care to.
