Would you still like House Fancy, If Squidward lost at the end?

So, Squidward gets his toenail graphically, gruesomely ripped just to lose in the end? That would make it worse for me to be honest. And I do understand that it's just one scene, and the rest of the episode is pretty decent to say the least. However, it is one seriously hellish awful scene. Put that scene in Chocolate With Nuts and I would easily have ambivalent feelings towards the episode, no matter the quality of the rest of the scene. It doesn't matter if we just 'easily' avoid the scene, it's still part of the episode. A part which horrendously tainted an actually decent episode. And that's sad. And to add a gloating Squilliam in the end will just to rub salt in that infected toe wound.

Am I the only one who thinks SpongeBob made this episode better?
I could have done without SB in the episode, for sure. I don't dig him in it, honestly. Some funny moments and quotes, but not having him wouldn't ruin the episode for sure.

Squilliam's temper tantrum slays tbh
It HaS to! But if Squidward would've won, then Squill wouldn't have had a fit to throw, of course. But, OMG, that was hilarious!

Squill would probably gloat, if Squidward lost, wagging his fab posterior in Squiddy's face, and we'd have even more Squidiam fodder. ;)

I liked the actual House Fancy show, that was cool. Plus Alton Brown as Nicole Withers. <3 (funny enough Nicole showed up again in Patrick-Man, but I'm pretty sure from memory it wasn't Alton again.) SpongeBob kinda felt shoehorned in the story, even though to be fair he's the one who made Squidward win at the end. Squidward winning for a change against is enemy (well Band Geeks and Keep Bikini Bottom beautiful are other examples) felt refreshing. Bugs Bunny didn't always win at the end, neither should Squilliam. So short answer, yes I wouldn't like House Fancy as much if Squiddy didn't win.
Oddly, the only thing I wanted to ask here is: Nick was in another episode?? I KNOW I've seen that episode, but can't remember Nick being in it. Also, it's Nickolas Withers, not Nicole. ;)

I did? Go me! Now I feel like Squidward at the end of House Fancy, in that how did I win? (It was with the mention of Squilliam's fab posterior, wasn't it? ;) )

I always found it weird how even Squidward has a toenail at all. I thought SpongeBob was supposed to be the only one with fingernails so I think there's another legitimate reason to criticize that part of "House Fancy." It doesn't logically coincide with the SpongeBob universe.

I hate to say 'it's a cartoon' but, well, it's a cartoon :P

SpongeBob isn't known to have lips but he wears lipstick in Clams. It's probably bothersome in a way but it's to be expected from a cartoon.
That scene being completely filler, I can understand.

They also circumvented that logic in "Gullible Pants" when Mr. Krabs suddenly has a nail for some reason just to serve the plot. Season 6 really seems to have a nail fetish.

After a rewatch, I actually enjoyed it, regardless of the toenail scene. It had plenty of good gags. It's feel a tad cliche if Squidward lost, but otherwise the episode is solid.
