Why doesn't Squidward wear pants?

Oh, there are indeed pants in SB with four legs. Watch 'Squidville', for example. Not to mention, Squidward's worn pants, also swim trunks. So, saying there are no pants that can accommodate all four of his legs is wrong.

This is actually a pretty good theory, only problem I suppose is some fish are naked. One random example I can recall is the fish that says "we are definitely out of here" when he sees Mr. Krabs with his pants pulled down in his underwear. I guess the irony stuck with me there.
Plankton's also in the buff, yet everyone seems okay with it. Maybe he's too small for anyone to see his...okay, I'm gonna stop right there.
