It's because jelly is an addictive substance, like jelly fish make jelly from consuming wild kelp. Their bodies break down the kelp and creates a sort of jelly substance that that has a chemical composition simular to Marijuana, then the jellyfish take it back with them to their "hive" and complete the process simular to how bees make honey which makes the substance even more stronger at the same time giving it a raspberry jelly taste.
Now the process is complete, they carry a certain amount of jelly in their bodies which give them that pink color so they can mate with other jellyfish.
However other fish folk (such as spongebob and Patrick)
Would "milk" the jellyfish for its jelly.
They would consume it due to its sweet taste and get addicted to it.
That's why they always go back for more.
Naw, I'm joking though it could be possible.
They jellyfish because it's like butterfly catching! You can hunt for rare jellyfish and it is a professional sport since it does have annual conventions.
And you do get jelly!
