Tentacle Vision over Restraining SpongeBob? Nah kid

Restraining SpongeBob was very annoying and stupid for me

I agree with Tentacle Vision it was pretty funny

I can't help but think that this episode could have executed a lot of better but nevertheless it was still such a good episode for me. This seems to be in a way infamous episode because Mr. Enter put this episode on #1 as Top 10 Worst Squidward Torture Episodes (please delete 2014 SBM when most people were enterbots) and really can't agree with his reasons for this one. Although I personally feel like this episode could have ended up being one of my favorite episodes of all-time If SpongeBob realized Squidward is annoying him the same way SpongeBob is annoying him. Instead we get Squidward being successful for one day and it made SpongeBob jealous, even though it was just one day. I'll say this, I feel like this episode wanted SpongeBob to make him just like how Squidward must have felt about SpongeBob being so successful unlike Squidward himself. Then again it didn't work because

1) The episode started off Squidward being SpongeBob and annoying the crap out of SpongeBob, so I wish they'd stick with that more, instead of making Squidward all successful to make SpongeBob snap at him.
2) SpongeBob still didn't fully realize that he does overshadow Squidward since SpongeBob felt same feeling for one day.

So I think the main issue for me here is that it didn't reach to it's full potential but I really can't consider this one as bad because it's still an interesting and funny episode about Squidward becoming SpongeBob and I think the dynamic is still there, even if it could have been way better. Another reason I think people seems to hate this one is that SpongeBob is an unlikeable person to Squidward and It led people into thinking the episode tried to make Squidward antagonist. I don't think that was the case at all. To me, the point was to make SpongeBob antagonist. This episode didn't want you to root for SpongeBob, not after how he treated Squidward badly at Patrick's party at least. And besides SpongeBob did realize he was hars towards him and he apoligized, which most people seems to forget when they criticize this episode. And how in the hell this is a Squidward abuse episode? That was like the begining of the episode and it was the point to make him annoyed, so he can become SpongeBob. Squidward getting upset by SpongeBob was fixed by SpongeBob apoligizing, even if it ended up Squidward not hearing that and getting electric shock again. Besides I thought SpongeBob and even Patrick becoming Squidward at the end was hilarious, now they can both realize how it's like to be Squidward :P

I suppose I can say that the episode wasted potential but appreciate the effort here and I think it's a pretty interesting and mostly amusing episode.

Ok lets get this out of the way. Toenail scene is just 10 seconds scene and if people hate this episode just for 10 seconds, I really can't take them seriously. It's okay if you find the scene disturbing. I don't find it that disturbing anymore, especially considering I've seen worse material from the show and if you hate this episode not for toenail scene. It's fine to dislike this episode but seriously it's just 10 freaking seconds!!!

so I really like this one, despite that scene and that unfunny toilet gag. I've seen people not liking this and getting bored by it, which is understandable. The episode isn't really a fast paced episode. First 3 minutes do take place in Squilliam's mansion, so I think that made people bored too and I think they didn't care about the rest. So it makes perfectly sense why some people aren't fans of this one but I personally do like it, not just because Squidward won at the end, even though It's true that I wouldn't like this episode if Squidward didn't win. One of the reasons why I enjoyed watching this is that Squilliam is back and his ego rubs on Squidward's face and it's just a joy to see Squidward seeing a bigger jerk himself. First three minutes is absolute joy to see Squilliam bragging about how much his mansion is so perfect and what makes this scene so amazing is that Squidward's anger here is priceless. I think it works not just because of Squidward being jealous of Squilliam's rich life style, it's also because this episode kind of parodies those in reality programs who are just a-holes and us the audience want them to go away so badly. That's pretty much why I just can't stand at reality program anymore. Middle of this episode is SpongeBob trying to help Squidward to make his house so good. It's really funny to see SpongeBob screwing things up and Squidward getting more nervous abouut people coming here. Yeah, this type of behaviour of annoying characters screwing things up irritates me but Idk it's amusing here because SpongeBob does wanna help Squidward. Another thing that I laughed is SpongeBob spying on Squidward and telling him that. Normally I hate SpongeBob being a stalker but here it worked for me because of SpongeBob's self awareness made it funny and it didn't go in a creepy territory like Squid's Visit. The ending was another thing that is so surprising. You expect Squidward to lose but the funny thing is he wins. So I think I can applaud to this episode for how unpredictable it made it's ending and it was also a great joke of Squidward's house is in piecesü yet it's prettier than Squilliam's mansion. See, you can make a funny joke without relying on protagonist getting hurt both emotionally and physicially. So yeah I think this is a really enjoyable episode. Th writing is good and the comedy is on point "for the most part". I personally thought the toilet gag was more unfunny and disturbing than the toenail scene lol but still that scene isn't such a big deal either lol.

Sorry if I promised that I was going to finish this this week. Something happened to my brother's computer and I couldn't get a chance to update this list. I'm using my mom's friend's computer rn lol. Don't worry tho, my brother's computer is almost fixed but this monday, I'll return to my rental apartment (second semester of first class is gonna start) and I'll use my computer there to finish this list next week. I hope you guys will like this update.

Preach it man! Seriously, I'm personally starting to find [people who think the scene immediately makes it an annoying episode] to be more annoying than the episode itself. It's like judging Wet Painters entirely by the Candy Machine gag.

my brother's computer is fixed yay, another update.

This is the episode that started all. Downhill of the show, the start of SpongeBob and Patrick acting like more morons and unnecessary punishments for Squidward. Firstly, when I watched this episode, I was pretty entertained by it but I really remember hating the ending because I felt like Squidward didn't deserve this at all. Even when I watched it again, I still felt annoyed by the ending so much. Now to think about it, the ending doesn't bother me as much as I used to feel. It's still kind of irritating and Squidward didn't completely deserve to get to work on sundays too but now, i just don't know and I'll talk about that soon. I really wanna talk about the begining of the episode first because that pretty much started SpongeBob and Patrick being annoying neighbours. Now the begining of the episode is pretty much similar to just like other Squidward episodes in pre-movie. SpongeBob and Patrick do shenanigans and Squidward gets annoyed but the thing that made those episodes work is that SpongeBob and Patrick acting childish or having fun isn't really something that should be that annoying and it annoys Squidward and instead of ignoring, Squidward drags himself into this and he pays the price. Here SpongeBob and Patrick does annoy Squidward with them bothering Squidward to become their president of Illuminati before it was cool in season 6 their secret club. Their good deeds do harm Squidward and this leaves Squidward no choice but to buy a security system into his home. Now I can see why this would annoy people. They do get on Squidward's nerves and you can't exactly make Squidward the bad guy here either because he does have a point that they have been annoying him. But it doesn't bug me that much because I personally think their shenanigans are amusing here and their only intention was to obey Squidward, which seems like a good deal for Squidward but he doesn't reconsider it lol. Although yeah, annoying characters helping the annoyed person has become a terrible cliche in cartoons such as Breadwinners but I think the annoyance here isn't as painful as people feel that way. Idk, it just depends on how you feel. It's not like I wasn't annoyed by actual funny episodes about Squidward getting harsh karma. Club SpongeBob is very funny but does Squidward really need to suffer from starving? I always felt that even in pre-movie, Squidward getting unfiar treatment irritated me. Same here too but still while it was kind of annoying, It was also funny to me. I think the jokes in this episodes were pretty good and pacing really made this episode so energetic. Another thing that I think SpongeBob and Patrick annoying Squidward is passablefor me is that they did feel bad for what they have done and they wanted to fix this but Squidward just overreacted and RANDOMLY Squidward's house turned into a giant robot that terrorized Bikini Bottom. At the end, SpongeBob stopped the robot but Bikini Bottomies decided Squidward, SpongeBob and Patrick to give public service for rest of his summer. Now do I think the punishment Squidward got was undeserved? Yes and No. The "no" thing is that Squidward did overreact to SpongeBob and Patrick, who were trying to say how they were sorry but the "yes" thing is that Squidward didn't know the security system would turn out to be a dangerous robot. Well he did bring this on himself but it's the person/people that made that system, so they are more responsible for the destruction of Bikini Bottom, so Squidward didn't completely deserved to lose his only rest day. This episode is all just so confusing, in terms of morality really. It's so unclear if Squidward legit deserved all of this and SpongeBob and Patrick's annoyance here is both annoying and not annoying. So this is all just a confusing episode to me but aside form all these problems, I do think it's such a fun episode. The pace never stops, it really managed to make me amused through and even with all annoyance I had with writing of the episode, this episode wasn't all that annoying to me. So overall, I do like this episode a lot but the hatrid of this is kind of understandable imo. I'll say this tho. This is totally not the start of downhill of the show, especially considering we did get some great season 4 episodes after this. So yeah, I like this episode.

It really seems risky for me to ::dolphin noise:: such an infamous episode after Pieguyrulz announced this as his least favorite season 7 episode and some people did hate this episode beofre Pieguyrulz hated it, so yeah. This is just like Pineapple Fever, it's SpongeBob and Patrick annoy Squidward for 11 minutes and it's just too much but the humor of this episode is so great to me that I really can't be annoyed so much. At first it did try a bit much but once they fall under the ground, the episode kicks in for me. Yeah you can argue this has been done in Chum Caverns, which is actually a better episode than this but this episode still feels it's own thing for me. What I love most about this is that it's simple like pre-movie episodes and I think it worked. The pacing was pretty fast that made gags more entertainings and some exchanges like "thank you!!!!!!!!" dialogue was really funny to me. It's same old, same old episode that we've seen tousand times in season 4-6 but it's just this episode is very funny to me, compared to others. It has a pretty fun story and good interactions of the characters. I totally get why people would hate it but I just can't and I don't wanna consider as guilty pleasure either cuz I really think the gags in this episode are mostly good. Overall, I do think this is a great episode.

Can I just say this is one of the better season 6 episodes? Because I really think this episode was so great. If there's only one thing that really bugged me was Bikini Bottomies once again. Their appearence here was nothing but a reharsh of The Sponge Who Could Fly but at least their appearence was like 2 minutes and rest of the episode was filled with humorous gag imo. Well heck, even Bikini Bottomies scenes had some decent gags. There's some Squidward abuse here yeah but I don't think it was anything annoying. I can see why this would annoy people but since this episode gave me really good gags, I can pass that. I think gags like the whole running gag with SpongeBob and Patrick using Squidward's growth spray to help people, lamp gag and the ending punchline. What I really liked in this episode was that just like Good Neighbours, SpongeBob and Patrick realized their mistakes and eventually they brought back Squidward into same size again. Yeah, it's kind of sad how the biggest clarinet was the only thing Squidward managed to play well and now he can't use it and his kelps are gone but still I gotta say this was such a funny episode from start to finish.

This is basicly a short but still there are some stuff to talk about this episode. I actually love this. Every single minute of it without being annoyed. Everything about this episode is just very fast paced, slapstick and ridiculous and it's so amazing. I actually don't see why people thought this episode made Squidward antagonist. I disagree. I also disagree that this episode is just a poor way to show kids how to drive safely. Here's why. The episode was meant to show how dangerous SpongeBob actually is, so his actions here are gonna be seen as horrible driver, while Squidward's properly. Yes, Squidward and Mrs. Puff did get hurt in this episode but in a cartoon violence way, so I just laughed, instead of annoyed here tbh. I think the ending kind of made people annoyed too. I don't think SpongeBob telling Squidward and Mrs. Puff they don't know how to be a good driver is meant to be taken seriously. It was just a joke and also a good repsentation of how SpongeBob is just a careless driver that people shouldn't look up to. Plus it's funny to me. Again, like how I mentioned in previous episodes I liked, the annoyance is understandable but I don't think the episode is a poor way to show kids about driving and I did laugh a lot.

yep, I'm pretty much done, except for #1, which hopefully be posted tonight if something doesn't ruin my chance to post, gulp.

#4 - I actually really like this episode for some reason. I think I just like any episode that has to do with digging. Wishing You Well, Chum Caverns, this, etc.
#3 - I don't really remember much of this one, all I remember really is the "Squidward inked!" line.
#2 - A little bit overhated, I agree. It's meant to be taken as a joke.

Ooh, I likey your opinions.

I really love Breath of Fresh Squidward; it's such a fun change of pace. House Fancy is fun too, and I understand why people get bored also, but I think it's really interesting and the plot twist is enjoyable too.

Tentacle Vision isn't really my thing (see my recent post in unpopular spongebob opinions), but not because "omg poor squidward." I mainly dislike it because S&P drive me up a wall and are reduced to brainless morons. In short, they're annoying. But I do like some things, such as the reference to reality TV and Mr. Krabs and Sandy.

Boat Smarts I like as well; it just gets boring after seeing it too many times. I think some fans take Squiddy abuse way too seriously. And if people actually see this is a way to poorly teach kids driving safety, they shouldn't teach their kids to drive. It's a cartoon.

And ah, Good Neighbors. I actually like this one too..and I'm not the only one now! The ending is stupid, but there's no continuity anyway so why does it matter? It's a good episode, and before then there really haven't been too much Squid torture episodes, so again, why should it matter? I'm entertained.

That moment has finally come, sorry if this took long to post, sometimes I can be lazy but here's your

That's right fellas, this is easily the best infamous Squidward episode ever and I love it so much. Just because it's #1, that doesn't mean It's one of my favorite episodes ever. Hell no but it's one of my favorites from season 4 for sure. This episode does deserve to be on #1 spot because it's easily the least hated Squidward abuse episode in post-movie and it's at least least hated by that lamo reviewer, Mr. Enter, so enterbots don't trash this episode at all. But it still feels like it's not as liked because it does have stuff that will make people annoyed. Squidward's body gets hurt multiple times and Patrick does act stupid and as a result, something bad happens and the ending ends badly; so I did hear some complaints and I also had those issues. Because of those reasons, I had to include this one on the list. Still this is definitely the least hated and it's liked by some people for sure. Especially me. The annoying post-movie cliches can easily be ignored here because this episode is darn exciting. You don't see a lot of SpongeBob episodes when characters go on epic adventures and this definitely felt like an epic adventure, even though the epic adventure is happening inside Squidward (that kind of sounds dirty out of context). The episode is pretty fast paced and pretty humorous on a lot of occasions, so both of these aspects make this episode such a blast. Characters are high praise here. Even though Patrick does cause some stupid actions, he does say something smart to save SpongeBob's and his life, so major props to that. SpongeBob is willing to take any risks to help Squidward and that totally makes him such a loveable characters. Yes, he does cause the accident for Squidward but it's an accident, so not exactly an intentional action by him. Squidward and Sandy, oh yes. Their dynamic here is the glory of the episode. It's always delight when SpongeBob pairs two characters who rarely interract with each other and Squidward and Sandy play off each other so amazingly and humorously. The animation of course looks great and writing is pretty solid. Even though I did get annoyed by those cliches I mentioned, It's still such an awesome episode for me. It's funny, epic and such an interesting piece of animation.

So overall, not all of these episodes on the list were total disasters for me. I feel like 40% of it was truly bad, 10% was pretty medicore and 40% either guilty pleasure or legit good episodes that I have little isssues. Still I think the hatrid for most of these episodes are understandable and I wouldn't mind if you disliked these for good reasons.

So this list is finally over today, so was season 9 of the show yesterday. I hope you guys loved this list and this will most likely be my last list about SpongeBob. Thanks for staying for this rollercoaster. :)

Pretty good episode there. And I really like this list and how it isn't just the same 'ol thoughts and opinions heard about 1000 times.
