Help Wanted for sure, in my opinion. Not only because it's a classic episode, but because it is a genuinely good episode. Also, when you take into account how they compare to the other episodes in the season, I think Help Wanted is one of the best in season 1.

Friend Or Foe takes a deep and introspective look into the lore of two characters that aren't SpongeBob and actually manages to develop them properly while still being a funny and interesting episode, and becoming one of the brightest spots in a Season that dimmed out as it went along. Friend Or Foe is everything a fresh Season premiere should be.

FOAKP and TAAG are close seconds.

Such a tough question! Your Shoe's Untied and The Algae's Always Greener are two of my favorite episodes; both were laugh-out-loud funny, but YSU had one of my favorite SB songs.

Help Wanted was the pilot, so I think it's bound to be overrated, even if I liked Mr. K's smelly diatribe. FoaKP was a strange concept, but unique and still funny as far as KPF episodes go. FoF was great in that it gave Mr. K a history to justify his cheap behavior, but I didn't like the ending. HF was okay barring the you-know-what and I furiously mock Tentacle Vision. I haven't seen ES or AWH but I've heard good things about them.

But because no one likes YSU as I do, I'll vote for it!

Or maybe Friend or Foe considering it was a half hour special. Those are always good. Gets you pumped up for the rest of the season.
