Was Opposite Day really on September 11th? (Pazza's 1st theory)

As a SpongeBob fan, you've gotta know about Opposite Day to consider yourself a real one. However, you might have not known that the episode, along with its partner-in-crime "Nature Pants," aired on September 11th. After 2001, lots of fans found it very ironic that Opposite Day was on the day it was on. The only question is... is Opposite Day really on September 11th?

The reason I ask the question is because of Squidward's conversation with Bobby. Squidward asks him, do you know what day it is? SpongeBob replies by saying, "Wednesday?" Then, Squidward tells him that it's Opposite Day. The big thing is, though, this episode aired in 1999. September 11th, 1999 was a Saturday. I just find it interesting because lots of member consider September 11th to be Opposite Day. What are your thoughts?

Oh spam these days. It's just not used in the right pla---- excuse me! Nah, I've changed since December. :rofl2:
you know I'm SBM's eternal spammer: I'm annoying, but this place would be different without me :P

We actually celebrated Opposite Day last year on SBC (and a little bit of SBM) on 911 last year. I guess you could consider it being on this date, seeing how the US probably had the episode first.

Yeah, it aired on 9/11/99. Back when they showed SB once a week. I wasn't even born that day. Anyway...
