Visual Artifacts Found in SpongeBob

I've been reading this topic and it's interesting to say the least. It makes me curious as to whether Nickelodeon keeps "bad" copies for its network or if they're playing "good" copies and it's been transmitted through interlaced scan. I'm only saying this because we have the ability for us to watch TV over the internet now, so progressive scan transmission is possible - or maybe the internet streams are only mimics of the interlace transmission. But I suppose this is impossible to know for sure.

In Just One Bite, Spongebob is drawn with two designs:

I find it hysterical how the cerain Toonz Prenium era episodes alternate between art styles throughout the episode.

Anyone notice how various art directors can still storyboard episode in different art styles:

Look at the Algea's Always Greener, it has the normal thin-line season 3 animation, it was storyboarded by CH Greenblat:

Then look at Wet Painters, also boared by CH Greenblat, but it's a markerbob episode:

Which Season 2/3 style do you guys prefer?

Normal thin lined animation:

Markerbob:

I definitely prefer the MarkerBob episodes, also Carl Greenblatt only did the rough storyboard for Wet Painters.

I wonder if iTunes' updated prints have the Nickelodeon comet tail?
I've checked various "updated" season 2 episodes and have yet to see the comet tail logo. From what I recall, though, not all pre-movie international episodes have the Nickelodeon logo, it's mostly season 3 and beyond from what I remember. But I might be totally wrong.

Unfortunately, I only have seasons 1 and 2 purchased on my current active iTunes account. So I can't check whether the season 3 episodes have it or not. It would really help if the episode "Something Smells" was updated, as the defining feature distinguishing the American version from international English prints is the "Hi Building" audio glitch*.

It doesn't mean the episode won't ever be updated though. Ever since my earlier post they've already updated "Prehibernation Week / Life of Crime", "Grandma's Kisses / Squidville", "No Free Rides / I'm Your Biggest Fanatic", "Pressure / The Smoking Peanut", "Shanghaied / Gary Takes a Bath", and "Sailor Mouth / Artist Unknown". So it looks like they aren't stopping this refresh any time soon.

*Here's a little tangent: Being Canadian myself, and only having seen either the international print or DVD version of Something Smells for much of my childhood, I never even knew there was a "proper" version of the episode until one time I discovered the American version uploaded to Youtube by some user who recorded it off Nick USA. Then, after purchasing season 2 off iTunes for the first time I felt so happy to finally have this version. It was like watching a pre-movie episode I've never seen before.

actually I can confirm that Seasons 1, 2 and 3 indeed have the Nickelodeon comet tail in international prints. Seasons 4, 5, 6, and 7 in every episode that didn't originally have a Nickelodeon logo have it as well

Then I guess the iTunes prints aren't international prints.

as of this writing, Your Shoe's Untied/Squid's Day Off, Something Smells/Bossy Boots, Christmas Who?, Survival of the Idiots/Dumped, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy III/Squirrel Jokes, Welcome to the Chum Bucket/Frankendoodle still haven't been updated. Once they get updated like the others, the only episodes on Amazon Instant Video with the VHS effect will be The Original Fry Cook/Night Light, Arrgh!/Rock Bottom, and Nature Pants/Opposite Day.

(outside Have You Seen This Snail?, which has had the VHS effect even in international prints and the original masters)

they look like they are judging by the haloing

can anyone else confirm if they have the Nickelodeon comet tail?
I mentioned earlier that I checked various season 2 episodes, and they don't have the comet tail.

Other weird things I notice about the show's animation:

The Smoking Peanut, Krusty Love, and Sailor Mouth have the same character designs, however it's palebob, greenbob, and goldenbob in that order:

Smoking Peanut (palebob)

Krusty Love (Goldenbob)

Sailor Mouth (Greenbob)

I've always wondered how certain scenes in certain episodes (like 'Have You Seen This Snail?') could possibly obtain CRT artifacts. I know that back in 2005, they were most likely airing episodes digitally, so how can that happen? Or did they not stop using master tapes until very late? Same for other episodes. I'm really even more curious to know why Arrgh!/Rock Bottom have still have CRT artifacts, despite being 'remastered' on Amazon Instant Video or iTunes

Like I've said, I'm guessing the studio went digital around 2001

they obviously accidently used composite cables.

weren't the other episodes in Season 2 that weren't updated updated already? I've seen some people on Discord imply they were.
Not true, sadly. The remaining 6 episodes have yet to be updated.
