Pinned thread Unpopular Opinions you Have on SpongeBob

IDGAF about mean-spiritedness in SpongeBob. I would MUCH rather watch a mean-spirited episode than a gross episode anyday.

Mr. Enter's SpongeBob reviews are decent in my opinion, i find them interesting and funny.
If he wasn't having so many issues with copyright Bullshrimp, he could review the new SpongeBob episodes.

True, although he'd only have one episode to do an atrocity review for (Patrick! The Game), maybe Snooze You Lose and Life Insurance as well, idk.

He should do what Pieguyrules does and review every season 9 and 10 episode, rather it's just his thoughts or an actual review. I Do want to know what he thinks and rather SpongeBob's on the right track now.

If the ending reveal of Gone is enough to ruin the episode, the Christine parody is enough to make it watchable on repeat viewings

I will literally never understand why so many people on SBM are obsessed with APM tracks. I know talking about SpongeBob in detail in itself is already pushing it, but APM music seems like a pathetically minor and insignificant detail.

I don't get it either, cartoon background music at times is very generic.

no one should make any more top tens on this show unless they have at least one unpredictable thing on the list otherwise the list is super boring

The music used on the show is catchy and memorable, but if there's one thing I will agree with is that it doesn't really affect the episodes. It bothers me when a pre-movie fan likes a newer episode just because an "old music track" has been used.

I've officially concluded that 90% of people have awful opinions on SpongeBob. I'm not talking about this website in particular, just in general.

And remember, don't be offended unless you're an offender.
Agreed. Ok, ok, I know that most people don't have bad opinions of the show, but I think that many people (especially some Enterbots) get too offended over mean-spirited jokes, Squid torture, and "inappropriate" jokes, and yet if it was a pre-movie episode, they think that it's ok. For example, I saw a lot of people on DA complain about the "suicide" joke in Are you Happy Now, and yet they don't complain about "Too bad it didn't kill me" in Band Geeks? Or I saw a few people talk about how bad Patrick was for almost chopping up a baby, but I haven't really seen anybody bat an eye about Patrick almost stomping on Junior. Opinions are opinions, but I honestly think that a lot of fans complain too much about mean-spiritedness.

Sorry, just gotta get it off my chest.

To be fair Are You Happy Now is all about Squidward's sadness and inability to get a happy memory, where as Band Geeks is just a regular SpongeBob episode with a suicide joke that has nothing to do with the plot. I don't think the suicide jokes should be singled out as its only problem, but with the starkly different tones I do think it's fair to say one works better than the other.

PS: I'm not saying people have to hate the joke in AYHN, and I'm sure there's people who hate it just because it's a suicide joke and aren't looking at it intelligently, I just think there's some legitimate reasons to like one and not the other (Like myself)

Anyways I agree with the rest.

It was just a small Suicide Allusion. Not big of a deal, we get suicide is a huge problem arround the world, but it's the only episode with a notorious suicide allusion.

Anyway it's not my favorite episode since people will think you're a sadistic person if you like it.

Mr. Enter is a cancer to the fanbase and I deeply wish he had never gotten popular. He's ridiculously inflammatory, annoying, and almost nothing he does has been good.

Sorry.
Agreed so much. I remember back in 2014-2015 when everyone here loved this guy. And all the fights I've gotten into. I loved SBM at the time, but it was kind of an annoying time too, especially my attitude back then. :P

Pain/death jokes seem to only work when they're funny or aren't taken seriously, when they don't then people call it abuse or unnecessary from what I've seen. (Which I'm not saying I haven't as well.) Or they just have an internal bias against post anything anyways. *shrugs*

Ugh I cant believe I used to like and watch his videos lol and yeah those Enter fights were awful

I think people should be allowed to dislike the newer seasons of SB if they truly tried them and didn't enjoy what they saw. It's not always about having "nostalgia glasses" for s1-3 on.
