Pinned thread Unpopular Opinions you Have on SpongeBob

As much as i like the 'return' of SpongeBob, i wouldn't say the show is great again. It always has been. The quality is more consistent these days, but a lot of the episodes even in the 'bad' seasons are just as good as the new ones.

Truth or Square is better than The Sponge Who Could Fly

Some of most hated episodes from Season 8 are better than the ones from S6 and S7

Season 8 in general is very underrated

I wish Nick would also show new episodes on non cable/satellite TV so I wouldn't have to wait tell they get uploaded to kisscartoon to see them.

I never quite got the Casey Alexander & Zeus Cervas hate. Yeah they made yadayadayada One Coarse Meal, A Pal for Gary, Pet Sitter Pat etc... but really I never understood how they're the worst and get the most hate by a large margin. I'm ranking season 6 right now and for the most part my least-favorite episodes were made by Aaron Springer, Luke Brookshier & Nate Cash. There was only 1 Aaron Springer episode in season 6 that I liked and only 3 by Luke Brookshier & Nate Cash. Most of my good episodes were actually done by Casey Alexander & Zeus Cervas. But hey I guess One Coarse Meal was the only episode they ever made. :p

Rule of Dumb is better than Driven to Tears

I like Squid's Visit, mainly because I like it when the whenever the show decides to be all creepy and stuff.

Rule of Dumb is a great episode. (COME AT ME, BROS)

The Sponge who Could Fly is a great episode and I actually enjoyed the episode part of it more than the Patchy segments. (The Patchy segments were still good, though)

Pest of the West is a really good special and it deserves more attention.

I liked I'm with Stupid

I don't care what anyone says, my opinion is my opinion and nobody can change my thoughts on episodes except for me. ;) (Bold because I just want to make a point)

Giant Squidward is absolutely hilarious.

Penny Foolish is pretty decent

I am not going to hate an episode just because a small part of was bad, I judge it based as a whole.

Despite me not liking Dear Vikings, The Olaf joke was funny and I like Spongebob's "derp vikings" face.

Spongebob, You're Fired isn't HALF as bad as what many people say.

Season 6 and 7 weren't terrible, they were just mediocre.

I couldn't stop laughing at the "big money" part.

Everyone loves

Missing Identity is one of my favorite s3 episodes

IWS is a good episode

I don't mind the CG island in the new intro

Bubble Buddy is a mediocre episode at best

A character being a jerk doesn't always make an episode bad.

The more I watch season 4, the more I like it. I honestly think that besides 6 or so episodes I liked it as much as the first 3 seasons.

I find "Little Yellow Book" very overhated and more mediocre than bad. Episodes like "Squid Baby" and "SpongeBob, You're Fired" are beyond salvation, they are so awful you'd need to rewrite them completely in order to get any decency. "Little Yellow Book" on the other hand has some small yet extremely terrible issues that ruin it. If they had Squidward apologize and didn't make the Bikini Bottomites hypocrites I would've liked it. That said even with these issues I find this episode way more tolerable than the nearly unwatchable "Squid Baby" and the awful "SpongeBob, You're Fired"

People seem to have been saying seasons 2 and 3 were stiff but I love the animation in seasons 1-5. It all took a nosedive during season 6 though.

The gross-out complaint really only applies to season 6.

I HATE Friend or Foe with all my soul, it reminds me of a bad season of my life, I never watch this episode, I can't stand it...Everyone loves it, I don't only like it, I HATE IT ...It's one of the episodes I'd love not to be existed..
