Considering it’s backed by two top vets from the golden age, that doesn’t really surprise me.

We got Derek Drymon as the director and Mark O’Hare as the head of story.

Both also worked on Rocko’s Modern Life, so you KNOW it’s gonna be an interesting one.

SpongeBob definitely needs a bit of its “Rocko” vibe back, imo.

I feel like it’s too much of a wacky Looney Tunes kind of cartoon nowadays.

Even back during Season 4 up to SpongeBob Out of Water, I could feel the show getting dumber and dumber as time went on.

Yeah but those can be iffy sometimes like the Avengers movie was bad according to screenings, but that's a good sign
