The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy

If anyone would like to know how this show came along, why don't you listen, doc. In 2000, Cartoon Network had a Friday night block called "Cartoon Cartoon Fridays." Which would air the Cartoon Network Studio cartoons (ex: Dexter's Laboratory, Ed Edd Eddy, Powerpuff Girls, ect.) But here's the thing, Cartoon Network held a vote/contest called "The Big Pick". A competition were kids could vote on www.Cartoonnetwork.com for the finalist who would become the new cartoon cartoon. (Yes, I know I have repeated the word "cartoon" twice, but that is how the network called their cartoons during that time.) They had nine different cartoons cartoons that aired during that time. But The Grim Adventures was one of then (back then, it was called "Billy and Mandy".) Later in August. The Big Pick show came along, and The Grim Adventures won by a landslide. Here were the final scores and finalist:

(Votes were found exclusively at The Way back Machine Archive and YouTube. Just by going to that Cartoon Network voting page they had in the archives.)
  • The Grim Adventures Of Billy And Mandy: 57%
  • What Ever Happen to Robot Jones?: 23%
  • Longhair and Doubledome: 20%
Then, Cartoon Network announced that "Grim And Evil" would debut as a new cartoon cartoon on August 24, 2001. And another fact for you guys is that this is how Codename: Kids Next Door got on Cartoon Network. if you are curious about this, go look it up on YouTube.

I remember thinking Grim was pretty awesome, but when I was younger, Mandy kind of annoyed me. Now, I feel like if I rewatched it I'd probably like her, since she feels like Squidward and Helga to me. (I didn't like Squidward or Helga when I was younger, but now, I understand why Squidward is grouchy and why Helga is so mean to Arnold, yet she loves him.)

Back when it aired it was one of my favorite shows. It's too bad they don't air it anymore, but, oh well...

oh i do it's still a better cartoon than adventure time.billy and mandy and grim went on adventures before fin did.
You're comparing apples to oranges here. Two completely different, designed shows. Already you're making a really fallacious argument.

With that said, wouldn't that mean that anything older than SpongeBob is therefore better? A show can't be judged by the time it is made
THIS. Judge a show by its content and merit, not by the time period it was made in.

Rocket Power kind of always sucked looking back on it and am I judging that cartoon based on when it was made? No. Why can't Todd do the same?

Obviously! This show is actually one of my favorites of Cartoon Network!

It's a perfect example of a show that can be EVIL/SCARY and funny at the same time!!! :)

My favorite episodes are probably Wishbones or Duck! or something along those lines.

And Richard Horwitz is awesome!!! Same with Grey Desile!!!
