Okay season. I could tell that improvement is in the air for spongebob, but many episodes of the season are pretty bland and need some more flavor. The terrible episodes were not as terrible as the episodes in seasons 6 and 7, but I still hated them. A few of the episodes are underrated (Are you happy Now?, Face Freeze!, Bubble Troubles). The good episodes ranged from being just decent to being excellent. Overall, this season is pretty forgettable and not living up to the excellence that Seasons 1-4 had.

I agree with you on Face Freeze, Pinhead. In my opinion, it's the most shallow episode of the show with the least substance. At least episodes like A Pal For Gary are structured well and have substance.
Anyway, from what I know and from what I've seen of the season. Once I've watched the whole season back-to-back, I'll do a real review.
