Both seasons have a 1 hour special. One that has a special that is hated by fans and by a crew member ("Atlantis SquarePantis") and other that has been addored by fans for the show's 20th Anniversary ("SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout")
But there's another important factor, that both seasons had their episodes fall from scheduling limbo.
Season 5:
Most episodes were premiered first in Latin America (some they premiered in Australia and Germany)
Their 1 hour special got leaked on their official website, week before the premiere
1 episode has been held off a year after its partner's airing
Most episodes were copyrighted in 2006-2007 with 1 was copyrighted in 2007 and aired in 2009
Season 12:
Most episodes premiered first in the UK, Central & Eastern Europe, Iberia, Turkey, Russia, Africa, and Indonesia (some premiered in Poland, France, and Israel and Portugal from Nickelodeon Play)
4 episodes were held off a year after their sister's airing, those episodes were "Pineapple RV" which was produced in 2018, but aired in 2020, "My Two Krabses" produced in 2019, but aired in 2021, "Hiccup Plague" also produced in 2019, but aired in 2022, and the infamous "Kwarantined Krab" produced in 2020, and also aired in 2022.
Their 1 hour has been leaked in India, 11 days before airing in the USA
