So, this is old news but Nintendo is selling refurbished Wii U's for $200.
It comes with the Wii U console, Gamepad, HDMI cable, Wii sensor bar, Power cords for both and Nintendo Land (new)
They have a Super Mario 3D World bundle as well, but both games come digital on the console.
As well there's refurbished Wii/Wii U games as well. Plus refurbished 3DS/2DS systems, no games though.
EDITED: Forgot to mention Mario Kart 8 is there with wheel and Mario Wiimote+
And lots of new stuff there too, including the Smash Wii U GameCube adapter and special Smash GameCube controller.

This is only for US and Canada though as the service is through Nintendo of America.

So any of you got your Wii U off there? It's a good deal and that's probably how I'll get mine.

In a month Nintendo drops down the price of the Wii U to $150 new

Yay. I honestly could care less.
Don't you think it's relatively unneccessary to post in a topic that you don't have any opinion on because you don't care about the subject matter? I mean, yes, it's voicing your opinion, but if I posted in every single topic that I didn't care about, I'd be by far the user with the most posts in history.

But on topic, I kind of wish they offered deals like these before as even being cheaper than it's two competitors, it's still pretty pricey. Wish they offered deals like this on the games.

"I mean, yes, it's voicing your opinion, but if I posted in every single topic that I didn't care about, I'd be by far the user with the most posts in history." I hate being that guy, but wouldn't "saying 'I don't care' in every topic I don't care about" apply if this was common? I mean, maybe I'm misinterpreting this and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what this comes off as.

I'm kind of confused what you're stating here. I just believe that in all of the thousands upon thousands of topics, there's only a select few where the subject matter will affect me, positively or negatively. Not posting in a topic will more or less show that this topic doesn't interest me, or at least enough to make a comment about it, so it just seems kind of ridiculous to me to say "I don't care" when not posting will give off the same message.

Okie dokie then.

Sounds good, but with the supposed new console on the way will it be a good purchase at this point? If it includes a brand new game like say the new Zelda game then i'm game.

Huh, that's a good deal. Didn't get mine that way though. :/

Refurbished? Wii U wasn't even that old yet!
Seeing as the new console is being released next year, it makes sense to shift as many of the Wii Us now.

It doesn't have have to be? Also the Wii U is 3 years old so it would probably make sense.

"Refurbish" means renewing or repairing something that is broken/old to makes it looks newer. For example I owned a 10 year old PS2 and wants to sold it at higher price, so I refurbish it to makes it looks newer and sells it at higher price. Unless Wii U is made shoddily with low-quality material, refurbishing a mere 3 year old console doesn't make sense.

Anything can get broken in 3 years. Even in a fraction of that.

So Nintendo makes crappy consoles now? No wonders Wii U fails.

Does it break when they make them or people who own them?

I've heard that a lot of the refurb stock is from back at launch when a bunch of Wii Us got bricked due to failed set up. What they probably did was clean up the consoles to make them look shinier and get rid of most dirt and scratches.
