Leedle's Ranking of Every Season 2 Episode Countdown!

I really don't like Grammas kisses, but IMO, Bossy Boots is decent. I really like the effort you put into your reviews

Grandma's Kisses review!

I know a lot people who say that The Sponge Who Could Fly was the first episode with Bikini Bottomites being assholes. Is that true? Not at all. In my opinion, it was this underhated episode known as Grandma's Kisses. Aside from a few funny moments, it's either bland or just mean spirited. So, it shows SB loves spending times with his Grandma, which isn't bad at all, but the Bikini Bottomites seem to think so. When he gets to work with a kiss mark on his forehead...we're treated to them insulting Spongebob for a full TWO ::dolphin noise:: MINUTES! This is one of my least favorite scenes in Season 2, since it's just really mean spirited. All SB did was visit his grandma. He goes to Patrick who then gives him advice (FREE FORM JAZZ). Then we get to what I believe started Patjerk. He goes to Grandma's house and starts acting like a baby and is being treated by SB's grandma. Does it get a few laughs? Actually, yes. Did it start Patjerk? Yes, it did. After a while, Spongebob snaps and starts crying (in some funny fashions), until his Grandma stops him. Then it's shown that the BIKINI BOTTOMITES WERE WATCHING HIM THROUGH THE WINDOW THE ENTIRE TIME AND LAUGHING! Not only is that mean spirited, it shows them in a stalkerish light, and makes them overly creepy. So yeah, this really deserves more hate this episode.

Favorite Character: Spongebob

Favorite Moment: Free Form Jazz

Hint for #36: I've met a real man.

Bottomites being jerks was really minor, so I barely see that as I problem. As humor goes, it was well done. Lots of hilarious faces that are seen for only a few seconds and Patrick was absolutely hilarious. I see the whole "Patjerk" thing as that Patrick also has an inner child, like SpongeBob. Good episode, not a huge favorite, but I like it a lot.

I disagree with all of your choices so far :P BB, is a meh episode for me, not bad.

Alright, I think people aren't getting the hint, so I'm just gonna say another one: Voted the worst pre movie episode by us.

Dumped is correct!

We're already starting to get into episodes I like. Yes, I like one of the most hated pre movie episode, so sue me. But I just can't help but like it. The story is solid, and although the jokes are pretty meh, the story is great. So, Dumped is where Gary decides he likes Patrick better than Spongebob, and it's established kinda well after he has a sleepover with him. Spongebob feels heartbroken, and tries to find a new pet to rub it in their faces. Patrick honestly wasn't really a jerk, save for a few moments, and was more of the antagonist. Also, it's not his fault Gary wanted to be with him. Anyway, the jokes are kinda stale. Aside from a few decent gags, the jokes are pretty weak, and are mostly overshadowed due to the story. The Rex gag was honestly kinda boring, but Larry did manage to get a few laughs out of me. Eventually, Patrick goes to Spongebob's house to do some laundry there, and then SB breaks down crying in a heartwrenching scene. Yeah, I teared up a bit during this scene. Then it's revealed that Gary was only following Patrick because of the cookie, which did make me laugh. Yeah, so aside from stale jokes, this is honestly a not-that-bad episode.

Also, just a note: Ripped Pants is no longer a bad episode in my eyes. Rewatch made me realize I actually liked it, so please ignore my S1 rankings where I stated it as a bad episode.

Favorite Character: Spongebob

Favorite Moment: The cookie in the pocket.

Hint for #35: The fork was sexy, tbh.

Sorry for a lack of updates. I just was busy with school. Onto the Squirrel Jokes review!

Ok, I originally liked this one a lot more. However, this isn't the one that'll kill me. I'm probably gonna die later on. Anyway, this episode is about Spongebob telling offensive jokes about squirrels. Some of the jokes are actually really, really funny. However, Sandy is upset about this, and tells Spongebob to stop telling them, as she keeps getting offensive remarks geared at her. Spongebob, however, has to do it to stay alive as a comedian. Then Sandy invites him over to the treedome. This is the actually good part of the episode, but it doesn't really get good from here. Spongebob goes into Sandy's treedome, AND SHE BASICALLY REPEATS TEA AT THE TREEDOME ALL OVER AGAIN WITH HER STUPIDITY INCREASED! No, she literally pretends to be stupid to torment Spongebob. I can understand at least a minor comeuppance, but she takes off his water helmet, makes him suffocate, glues him on a log, and fills him up with water to make him inflate all over the treedome. If they fixed that scene, it might've been a much better episode. But yeah, that scene exists. Overall a really good episode until the "torture scene," which pushed it back a lot.

Favorite Character: Patrick's cameo

Favorite Moment: Um...forks?

Hint for #34: Duh...

I'm With Stupid is correct!

When people say this is the worst pre movie episode, I get somewhat mad. Is it subpar compared to most other episodes? Quite actually, yes. It's a bit mean spirited and not all jokes hit the mark. However, the jokes are what makes this episode for me. It starts with Patrick cleaning his house for his parents to come, and Spongebob comes over to see what the ruckus is all about. We get some back and forth conversation with some funny jokes, and then Spongebob plans to pretend to act dumb to put Patrick in a positive light to make him look smart. However, Patrick and his "parents" do take it a bit too far. Is it a bit frustrating? Yes. Is it funny? Yes. Does every joke hit the mark? Not really. Is it entertaining? Oh boy, yes. Finally, Spongebob snaps and runs through the wall (or the sand, lol). Then it's revealed that they weren't his parents, and his real parents have been berating Squidward all day asking where he was. The twist ending was kinda funny, but it didn't make much sense. Overall, this episode doesn't deserve all the hate it gets, although I understand why some people would dislike it.

Favorite Character: Spongebob

Favorite Moment: The note/letter part.

Hint for #33: The hint is...

People seem to not get this one...so think long and hard. If I'm not giving it away now, what is the hint? I was lazy to do it. Let that sink in and think of an episode title related to that...why do I sound like a yoga instructor who tells people to relax?

Ooh, nice list so far! I pretty much agree with your list so far. A bunch of "meh" episodes and I don't like I'm With Stupid but I don't hate it.

I feel like the next episode is Procrastination :P

CORRECT! Full review soon.

After some procrastination (pun intended), here's my review!

Although this episode is definitely really good, it is overshadowed by all of the other great S2 episodes, so it gets pushed back. This episode starts with an 800 word essay...written. If I were SB, I'd type it, but whatevs :P. We get some filler, but remember, filler is good when it's funny, and this is definitely amusing enough to keep my attention. The eraser bit is particular memorable, along with "THE." Then in a very confusing scene, Spongebob sees it's midnight, and chases after a desk, and his pants run away from him, his house burns down...ok, wut? This is one of the weirdest scenes in the show, in a good way and a bad way. It kinda creeped me out as a kid, but I kinda like it now...Then we see it was all a dream! Well, the cop out kinda works since he was procrastinating. Then he figures it all out! He goes over and hands it in to Mrs. Puff, and she cancelled the assignment...so he rips himself and the paper. Definitely a fun episode, but it does get overshadowed quite a bit.

Best Character: Patrick (lol, his cameo)

Best Moment: "The..." or the Patrick phone call

Hint for #32: I'm genuinely scared of revealing this...Like, I will be hated forever.

That is such a fun episode, I also love the part where SB is watching TV and the fish on TV is like, "Shouldn't SpongeBob be working on his paper?" I love how the show tackled such a relatable topic.

lol is the next ep Band Geeks
