It only means that if you MAKE it mean that. The innocence of the line is up to your imagination. :)

As for the doubloons thing... I'm still not sure I completely get it. I think I get the idea though...

I always thought that it meant the hair in his spongy holes. :p

That's the way I will interpret it. ;)

To this day, I don't understand this line from Treats:

"You've got to know when to say no. Oh wait wait. You have to KNOW when to say, no."

At first I thought Patrick mixed the two words up or something, but I don't know for sure.

I think it was a joke of Patrick's stupidity and him mixing up both no and know, even though soundwise it don't matter

It's a joke about prisoners and soap (I've heard plenty of stories about this since my oldest brother is a prison guard), but that's all I'm gonna say about this subject.

Type it into the computer if you're really curious.

Nurse: Hello Mr... Mr.... Handsome!

Squidward: What did she call me?

SpongeBob: Handsome, but she spelled it wrong.

(from Two Faces of Squidward)

Now what on Earth does this even mean? How could Spongebob know she spelled handsome wrong if she spoke it? Is this some kind of obscure inside joke between the writers or what?!
This in a nutshell.

Do you define intelligence by knowing the alphabet? That's offensive, 'cause my Dad seems to have a bigger vocabulary than me and doesn't use ANY letters

I've never understood the "Is that what he calls it" joke from Something Smells, or the "But she spelled it wrong" joke from the Two Faces of Squidward.

I'm sure there's more too, but those are the ones I can think of right now.

Mr. Krabs: Do you smell it? That smell. A kind of smelly smell. The smelly smell that smells... smelly.

What Does it mean?
