Didn't know where to put this, so here is as good as any I guess. Poem I wrote for a class. 6 pages long and has some iffy rhymes, but I liked it enough I guess.

-Heaven
Hey. I like you. You’re charming. You’re cute.
You seem nice and down to earth…kinda like a root.”
“Ha, you’re funny. You’re cute too, and you look hearty.”
“Y’know, this is sorta lame; let’s ditch this party.”
And a few years later after many bad decisions,
The boy and a girl were in a state of indecision.
“What do we do?”
“He’s lame. Let’s ditch it. He’s unimportant. We don’t need him.”
The girl stood in shock. “What are you suggesting, you monster?”
He put a finger to her lips. “It’s simple. Adoption.”

They laugh. They point. They ogle. They stare.
“Look at that kid, and his dumb kinky hair!”
The orphanage is cruel, inattentive and mean.
“And when life gives you lemons, you take em’ and leave.”
That’s what he said, as that was his motto.
In a broken down taxi, in the middle of a grotto.
Shots ring in the air, and police drive by slow.
“I can’t go back to that place. I gotta sink low.”
The grotto, the ghetto. A sad, but new age.
“But hey, anything’s better than that orphanage.”
In the grotto, they loiter, attack, creep.
And in a broken down car, a 12 year old orphan goes to sleep.

This is life.

Reflected off the glass, the sun shines in.
The time at the time’s about a quarter to ten.
Light into eyes. The shine is dull pain.
Eyes flicker open, images filter to the brain.
Face on the leather, drool on the seat
And…For some reason, the smell of rancid feet?
Thomas shot up. And to his surprise
There sat a man with 2 wild grey eyes.
A skull cap, a jacket, rough patches everywhere.
If Thomas’s life was bad, this man’s must be a scare.
He sat in the front seat, as if he was going to drive
As if he alone could make the car thrive.
But he just stared back and looked at the boy
Who wasn’t sure what to say, although there were some insults he wanted to deploy.
After a while the silence was broken.
“Hey.” The man said. Not another word was spoken.
The man had an Indian accent. ‘That’s something to note
When they drag my dead body out of this cold metal boat.’
Thomas first thought, then lunged for the door.
But he only hurt his hand, then muttered some swear words.
He looked back at the man, who smirked, then smiled.
“It’s locked, you know. It’s been locked for a while.”
“Why are you here, you freak? What’d you want? “
The grey eyed man smiled, then gave out a grunt.
“You don’t know my name, yet you call me a freak?
I feel that that’s rather rude, don’t you think?
We should start over. My name is Rohit.
And your name, my good sir? I do question eet.”
Thomas thought for a while, then gave out a sigh.
“My name is Thomas.” “Pretty cool name for a guy!”
Thomas looked at the man. “Why are you here? Why’d you crash into my life?”
The grey eyed man smiled. “Well, you see, I just killed a few men with this knife.”
Thomas froze. Was this a joke? A really cruel prank?
But it wasn’t, as the man reached through the hole in the gas tank
And pulled out a knife, sharp as could be
And the man looked at Thomas, eyes full of sadistic glee.
Thomas was afraid. This was it. It’s the end.
But then he spoke. If the rules said “Game Over”, then the rules’d have to bend.
“So this is your thing, huh? This is your shtick?
You lock little kids in cars, then you kill em’ real quick?
Is this a screwed up game you play with your killer clique?
You’re a messed up old man. You’re twisted. You’re sick.
But you can’t kill me, fool. I’ve come way too far-“
“Ha!” The man laughed. “Boy, you live in a car!
I bet you have no parents, and if you do, they’re drunkards
Who abuse you. They’ve lost you, and now you sleep in this bunker.
What’s your story, boy? At the end, you can even stand up and bow.
So explain. Why shouldn’t I end your worthless life right now?”
Thomas thought. He thought more. He thought, he was thinking.
But as he thought, he realized his lifeboat was sinking.
There wasn’t one reason, no reason so great
To not let the man kill him, and have his body be found at a later date.
Thomas’s life had no worth. He almost wanted to cry.
“…There’s no point in living, so I might as well die.”
The man said nothing. He just stared into space,
As Thomas contemplated that his life was a waste.
“Just give me the knife. I’ll end It right here!”
“You couldn’t even bring it to your chest.” “…Well, you’ve got a point there.”
“Now I have a question.” The grey eyed man said.
“Why were you put on this world if you should only be dead?
What purpose do you have, that you have not yet fulfilled?
Maybe you are to be a biller, or maybe you’re to be billed?
There is a reason you’ve been kept alive.
There must be a reason you learned to survive.
Will you go to Hell, or ascend to Heaven?
It’s all your choice, Thomas, and though I might sound like a reverend,
It’s all up to you. Follow your own path.
And do your best not to face God’s wrath.”
“God? Dude’s a joke.” Thomas said with a scowl.
“He’s always watching, right? All the time? Like an owl?
So why would a God, so high and has “a plan” for all tomorrows
Make me live a life full of toil and sorrow?
Is this his sick game? To watch all of us in pain?
To watch good people die, before they had a chance to use their brains?
And babies that know nothing, and if they know anything, not well
Because they don’t know they don’t believe, are they, too, sent to Hell?
I don’t get it. I don’t want to. You think you know it all, Einstein?
God only put me on the planet so he could watch me lose my mind.”
It was around two, now. The man looked at the kid,
Who had tears in his eyes, and they fell as they did.
“Young boy.” The man started. “Religion, or not
Everyone on this gigantic Earth’s got
A destiny to fulfill.
For some, it’s die at 3, and for others, to make 40 Mil-“
“But what’s the point of living if you’re only going to die so soon?
This is all just a complicated, overwrought boon!
A baby! A kid that didn’t deserve to die!
And his death caused nothing but pure pain and strife!
There’s no upside to that! I’ll scream it! There’s not!
All it does is make sadness cause people’s brains to rot.”
“Maybe the parents needed to learn, and to grow?
Maybe that death strengthened their marriage and they can grow old,
Where in another scenario, they wouldn’t have? They’d have an argumentative household
And the kid would grow up, so angry and bold
But he’d have to learn to grow up and keep to himself his feelings
And eventually get shot at 43 while drug dealing.
Does that life sound fun? Engaging at all?
Sometimes a short life’s better than a bad one by far.
Sure, when life’s short, there’s some wasted potential. But there’s nothing that can be done.
But when you’re given a full life and you do nothing but waste it
That’s worse than a short life. Face it.
What does this mean? Live life, live life, you must live it to the fullest.
Life is like a robot, because at any minute, you could hit the killswitch.
So live your life well, without any regrets.
I learned this too late, and I’ll never forget.”
Thomas thought for a minute. His thoughts unfurled.
He was just a boy- He didn’t understand the whole world.
But for a split second, one thing became clear.
I have a reason and a purpose to be here.
Thomas smiled, then grinned. The first time in years.
Being shot at or hurt were the least of his fears.
But Thomas owed it all to…This?
A grey eyed murderer by the name of Rohit?
Police sirens started wailing. Thomas knew what was coming.
But one last thing he needed to know, before Rohit started running.
“One last question. Why’d you kill people?” Rohit’s lips curled.
“I made a mistake. Because wasted potential is the worst thing in this world.
But I took it too far, and destroyed my life, son.
Now it’s up to you to fix it, where I had messed up.”
After that, it was a blur. Sirens, hands, grabbing, the constant are you okays.
But Thomas was alright, in a weird sort of way.
He was returning to the orphanage, and his friend would be going to prison.
“But hey, that’s okay, because I can always visit.”
Thomas thought. He looked up at the sky, in his orphanage bed.
On his pillow, he rested his head.
“Yeah, life has taken it’s toll
Because of things over I had no control.
I don’t know why I’m here, or why my life has started out this way. But I can always change it.” He thought about Rohit, and everything that had happened that day. “But I know I have a purpose. And you know what? That’s okay.”

Yeah, I know. It's better if he can repost it :)

Well he can't now, because it already has the spongedudes in it :P

so then if he'd copy it as it is, it would still say spongedude. He'll just have to do it manually...poor Jibbix

It certainly does autocorrect, when I had to have the staff auto from Omair --> E.V.I.L, when I asked them to change it back, everything that auto-corrected went back to the original thing. :P
