Every Episode of Rocko's Modern Life Reviewed!

Episode 2A: Leap Frogs

Mrs. Bighead tries to seduce Rocko.

This episode is really controversial, and it's easy to see why, but to be honest, I think this is a GOOD EPISODE, The controversial jokes are pretty funny in my opinion, That's really all i got.

Episode 2B: Bedfellows

After Heffer's parents sell his room, Heffer moves in with Rocko.

So, The episode begins with the father claiming he lost his job and needs to make some changes, They decide to sell Heffer's room, Heffer moves in with Rocko, All sorts of funny shenanigans happen, Like Heffer making a gross dinner, to Heffer selling off everything Rocko has. But what makes this episode a GREAT EPISODE to me, Is the part where Heffer says that Rocko is too difficult to live with, That was a heartwarming moment, In an already really funny episode.

Episode 3A: Jet Scream

Rocko and Heffer board an airplane.

This is a pretty relatable episode, well, i've never been on an airplane myself, but i'm guessing most of you have, I'm sure most of you were worried about bad stuff happening like the plane crashing, or something else going wrong, but yeah, it's also pretty funny, unfortunately it is a little forgettable, so it's only a GOOD EPISODE

Episode 3B: Dirty Dog

Two parasites named Bloaty and Squirmy are living on Spunky.

In general this is a fun episode, It doesn't have to do with Rocko or even Spunky so much as it has to do with these two parasites, It's a fun change, and i love that Flintstones parody, It's a GOOD EPISODE, not much else to say.

Episode 4A: Keeping Up With the Bigheads

Rocko cleans up his house to prevent it from being towed away.

To be honest, i find this episode pretty forgettable, I wanted this to be a good episode, but it's not, it's a MEH EPISODE, At least the idea was good, and the ending was funny.

Episode 4B: Skid-Marks

Rocko gets his car taken away, and has to learn to drive to get it back.

As PieGuy said in his "Boat Smarts" review, This episode is that one done correctly, This is a GOOD EPISODE, but very close to a great episode, This episode is just plain fun, and a little bit funny, My favorite joke being that the police pull over the car to take a squirrel away.

Episode 5A: Power Trip

Rocko becomes the boss of the Kind of a Lot O' Comics.

This is a really funny episode, as i said numerous times already, but yeah, this episode also marks the debut of Really Really Big Man, who is a really iconic character in this show, This is a GOOD EPISODE of course.

Episode 5B: To Heck and Back

Heffer chokes an a chicken, and disturbing hallucinations ensue.

This is probably one of the most famous and iconic episodes of the show, and it's easy to see why, the hallucinations are really funny, and this episode gets so crazy and weird, that i love it, Do i even need to say it? It's a GREAT EPISODE.

Episode 6A: The Good, The Bad, and the Wallaby

Rocko and Heffer go to his grandparents farm.

This is a better version of Pest of the West in my opinion, This episode is pretty funny and fun, It parodies so well, and there is a great song, This is certainly one of my favorite episodes of Season 1, It's a GREAT EPISODE if you couldn't already tell.

Episode 6B: Trash-O-Madness

Rocko and Spunky try to take out the trash

So, this episode is also pretty forgettable, but what makes the episode GOOD for me is this.

Laundry Day is a very dangerous day - Rocko, 1993

Episode 7A: Spitballs

Rocko and Heffer attend a baseball game to try to catch a foul ball.

Mr. Bighead shreds up Rocko's old foul ball after it lands in his yard, so they attend the soccer game. This episode is kinda funny and kinda fun, It's on the lower side of GOOD for me.

Episode 7B: Popcorn Pandemonium

Rocko and Heffer attend a movie theater.

This episode also gets kinda chaotic and weird, Though this episode is nowhere near as good as To Heck and Back, This is still a GOOD EPISODE.

Episode 8A: A Sucker for the Suck-O-Matic

Rocko buys a vacuum cleaner that starts doing wacky stuff.

Despite this being one of the most well known episodes of the show, I don't see it, This episode is a MEH EPISODE, Another forgettable episode to me.

Episode 8B: Canned

Rocko gets fired and has to get a new job.

This is a better version of SpongeBob You're Fired, and it's somewhat funny, I'll call it a GOOD EPISODE, but just barely because I kinda dislike that popular joke actually, It just baffles me that they would allow that.

Episode 9A: Carnival Knowledge

Rocko and Heffer go to the carnival.

This is just a really funny episode, I love that cranky frog, The ride to hell, and all the misfortune that happens to Rocko, This is a GREAT EPISODE.

Episode 9B: Sand in Your Navel

Rocko and Spunky go to the beach.

This episode feels like a mix of A Sucker for the Suck-O-Matic and Canned, Being both forgettable, and having some adult jokes i'm not too fond of, it's a MEH, because there are some jokes i laughed at.

Episode 10A: Cabin Fever

Rocko, Heffer, Mr. Bighead, and Mrs. Bighead all go to the same cabin.

Fun Fact: Ed's full name is Edward.

This is my favorite episode of the season, and maybe the entire show, This is a GREAT EPISODE, I laughed at pretty much everything here, My favorite joke is Ed shooting the bear, and that bear takes off Ed's shooting glasses and punches him in the face.

Episode 10B: Rinse and Spit

Filburt tries to learn to be a dentist.

The giant tooth is my favorite part of the episode, and there are other great gags, It's a GREAT EPISODE.

Episode 11A: Rocko's Happy Sack

Rocko goes to a grocery store with a massive discount.

Rocko and Spunky need food, badly! they hear the store has a 99% discount, Meaning that $150 dollars is only $1.50, Makes you wish something like that can happen in real life, doesn't it? Anyway, This is a GOOD EPISODE, Watching this episode makes me feel hungry for some reason, and this episode is pretty funny, Unfortunately, Seeing all the bad stuff happen to Rocko does push it down a bit, and that's why it's not great.

Episode 11B: Flu-In-U-Enza

Rocko gets the flu.

The enchanted Upchucks make for pretty good characters, this episode is also pretty funny and kinda memorable, It's a GOOD EPISODE.

EPISODE 12A: Who's for Dinner?

Rocko and Heffer visit Heffer's parents.

FUN FACT: Heffer was adopted, and his family originally wanted to eat him.

The first half of the episode is really, really funny, i could not stop laughing at Hiram Wolfe's snarky comments to Rocko.

Oh, so our food is not good enough for the beaver huh? Well you better go back to the zoo because we don't have any of that fancy schmancy slop here. - Hiram Wolfe - 1993

So, Rocko meets Heffer's family, previously seen in Bedfellows. and chaos ensues, The second half is a heartwarmer, So yeah, This is a GREAT EPISODE.

Episode 12B: Love Spanked

Rocko appears on a dating show.

Dating shows are not my thing, but this episode is somewhat funny. It's on the relatively low end of GOOD to me.

Just two more episodes of Season 1 to go guys.

Here are the final two episodes of Season 1, then i will look at the stats and give the season a rating.

Episode 13A: Clean Lovin'

Spunky falls in love with a mop.

This episode has a lot of good jokes, and some really nice moments as well, Not much else to say, It's a GOOD EPISODE.

Episode 13B: Unbalanced Load

Rocko and Spunky do laundry.

Laundry Day is a very dangerous day. This episode is also somewhat funny, and has a somewhat good plot, GOOD EPISODE.

And that is every episode of Rocko's Modern Life Season 1 Reviewed!

Here are the stats, Well, There were 8 Great Episodes, 15 Good Episodes, 3 Meh Episodes, No Bad Life Episodes, and No Unlucky Life Episodes.

Season 1 is a GREAT SEASON in my opinion, This season was a strong foundation of beginning a show that i still really love to this day.

Okay, now let's get to My Top 5.

#5. Carnival Knowledge - This episode is just really funny, and i feel that Rocko's misfortune works here.
#4. Who's for Dinner - This episode had a gutbustingly hillarious first half, and a heartwarming second half.
#3. The Good, The Bad, and The Wallaby - A fun cowboy story, with some really funny jokes put in.
#2. To Heck and Back - This episode is really chaotic and weird with a lot of really funny gags.
#1. Cabin Fever - This is by far the funniest episode of the whole show in my opinion.

Welp, See you guys in Season 2.

Just read your list. I think most of your episode reviews are too short. You should explain more about why you find an episode funny or unfunny. Just a suggestion to improve your reviews. :)

i do :fred:
I will, starting with next season.

Let's begin Season 2, This will be the final season with Comic Sans MS as the font, then i will move on to Courier New as i also really like that font.

Episode 14: I Have No Son!

Rocko and Filburt set out to find Ralph Bighead.

FUN FACT: Heffer only makes a cameo at the end.

Here we are, The first double length special of the show, and i couldn't have asked for a better one to start off the double-length episodes with, But before i give this episode a rating, I better talk about why i really like this episode. This episode is pretty funny, with gags like Filburt obsessing over The Fatheads toys, and Heffer's cameo at the end. Which, by the way, is his only appearance in this entire 22 minute episode. This episode gets heartwarming as well, especially at the end. But yeah, This is a GREAT EPISODE if i even head to say it!

Episode 15A: Pipe Dreams

Rocko tried to remove a goldfish from his pipes.

So, this episode is alright in my opinion, It's not the funniest episode in the world, but it's not bad, The plot also isn't the greatest in the show, but it's decent, This episode is in between good and meh in my opinion, but because nothing bad happened here, and because there were a few funny jokes, I'll give this episode a very low GOOD.

Episode 15B: Tickled Pinky

Rocko gets his appendix removed.

This episode is really funny and heartwarming in my opinion, Some funny jokes include Heffer getting his fat removed and looking really skinny while still in his oversized overalls. We also get to briefly see his fat in the end, who complains that he didn't get to go to the carnival like Rocko's appendix did. Rocko calls his appendix Pinky like the title suggests, This episode is also heartwarming in the end, It's obviously a GREAT EPISODE.

Is it just my phone being stupid or every review was edited to have a different font than Comic Sans MS?

Everything looks fine to me.

Episode 16A: The Lounge Singer

Filburt becomes a lounge singer.

Fun Fact: Heffer doesn't appear in this episode.

This episode is awesome, great songs, and lovable characterization. This episode is a bit light on humor, but that's okay, because this is still a GREAT EPISODE.

Episode 16B: She's the Toad

Ed has a nervous breakdown, and Bev must take his place at Conglom-O.

This episode is pretty funny, Ed says garbage day is a very dangerous day while still in a nervous breakdown, but aside from that, there's other humor, like all the business jokes. It's a GOOD EPISODE.

Episode 17A: Down the Hatch

Heffer feeds Spunky something that will make him explode, While Bloaty and Squirmy explore Spunky.

This is a fun episode, Bloaty and Squirmy make for excellent characters that we don't see often, and this episode while a little light on comedy has a few really funny gags, It's a GOOD EPISODE.

Episode 17B: Road Rash

Rocko and Heffer go out on the road.

This episode is visually appealing, The settings are beautiful, and just overall looks great. Again, it is light on jokes, but this is still a moderate GOOD EPISODE.

Episode 18A: Boob Tubed

Rocko, Heffer, and Filburt buy a giant television that takes over Heffer's mind.

I really enjoy this episode, It's a lot of fun, I love when Heffer runs around naked, I also love Rocko having difficulty buying the TV he wanted, and then failed, and a bunch of other little gags i laughed at, GOOD EPISODE all around.

Episode 18B: Commuted Sentence

Rocko has his car impounded, and must work for money to get his car back.

This is another fun episode, Watching Rocko having to find other ways to get to work is pretty funny, and i love when Rocko ends up impounding every car in O-Town to get his car back, It's a GOOD EPISODE.
