The part where Spongebob and Patrick realize they made it to shell city gets to me almost everytime haha :P am I the only one?

No, I'm pretty unaffected by "emotional" scenes in films.
What I like about the Spongebob movie is that whenever things get too close to being soppy, they reel it back in with a joke, like the pirates crying in the cinema. They acknowledge that the scene is overly dramatic and histrionic, and that makes it a lot more watchable for me. :D

Not really, it's a kids film. Stuff like Michael Scott leaving The Office is more emotional.

well i guess I'm a kid at heart then, not to mention that when I saw it, I was like 9 or 10 years old. I don't really cry when I watch it now but it's still a sad scene regardless. But it's funny because I'm not really emotional or sensitive, I've watched movies like the notebook and the titanic, and although they were sad, I didn't cry. It's usually kids movies for some reason. I got more choked up when I watched Tangled then when I watched the notebook :P

Well that's cus it's a cartoon movie so they have to quickly get back to a joke because kids don't really care for sappy scenes. And even the actual scene before the pirates crying, But the scene wasn't too melodramatic, I mean you still can find something humorous like when Spongebob said "I guess everyone was right about us after all" and Patrick's all like "that were attractive?". I love the scene because it's a good combination of sad and funny, and it's not too over the top or dramatic.

Nope, I didn't cry because it's more of a kids film like Philip said, but yeah, it was pretty sad during that scene seeing Spongebob and Patrick getting all dried up under that heat lamp.

I have never cried at a TV show or movie. But the Spongebob Squarepants movie was the closest I ever got... (except for Christian the lion...)

I didn't cry during this movie, but I didn't cry during Toy Story 3, either. My friends attribute it to my lack of a heart, and I'm easily inclined to agree with them.

No, silly!
However, I've watched it many times... There was probably a point in time where I could repeat all of the dialouge!

I cry when Sponge and Pat dry out under the lamp :') all of the 20 or so times I have watched the movie :D

A girl who doesn't cry at movies?!
