You know what, I didn't feel like putting this in the unpopular opinion section because I really think there are people out there who feel the same way but I think there are a lot more serious issues in the world and especially in this country to get angry and upset about outside of any entertainment that we happen to not like. At least with entertainment we have a choice of whether we want to watch it or not most of the time. With pressing matters like student loan debt (which don't go away after bankruptcy BTW), credit card debt and other kinds of private debt, unemployment in this country, criminality and fraud when it comes to Wall Street, the whole issue over net neutrality, and figuring out solutions to address that, finding alternative sources of energy and what's been going on in other parts of the world with all this unnecessary military spending going on, I think more energy could be devoted to trying to change things there.

I know that not every person on these sites are guilty of this, but your post really needs to be sent to everyone with a YouTube, Facebook, Tumblr, etc. account so they can stop arguing about this dumb crap.

The irony is is that I don't know enough about these serious issues you mentioned, so I can't really discuss them. Would you mind giving me some news sources to start with?

Good question. I don't really like mainstream media that much but at the same time, so-called alternative media has been corrupted too IMO with dumb conspiracy clowns and ebeggers like Alex Jones and Mark Dice. In terms of mainstream media, CNN has really gone downhill over the years, FOX News has always been a joke, CNBC is complete trash, and I think MSNBC is kinda better but too in with the establishment for me to really care about. You gotta learn to be able to spot BS when you see it and no matter where it came from. There are lots and lots of people out there who want to take advantage of you, make a quick buck and screw you with content with no substance and rampant sensationalism over if you're not cautious.

These days, I think I really like hearing about this stuff from people on YouTube who may have smaller channels but aren't trying to be shills for anything that they say or trying to sell some kind of product or advertising and I also enjoy watching some of the smaller economics/financial related channels on the site too and seeing what they have to say about the markets and all sorts of other stuff. I don't wanna give away too many sources that have obvious political leanings in either direction though I'm pretty sure that you already know where I lean politically.

For a while, I did really like reading Reuters and I admittedly like some of the stuff that Russia Today has done, despite the fact that I think they can be really biased too and have their own agendas to push, so I always take what they say with a grain of salt. Even they sometimes have garbage content on their YouTube channel (that MaxCoin pumping idiot and silver pumper Max Keiser cough cough). I really like watching Vice documentaries a lot and really want to get back into that because I've enjoyed a lot of their stuff and applaud what they've been doing. It's just matter of taking things with a grain of salt and coming to your own conclusions. Being able to think critically and independently and really looking at track records of people and organizations is the key.

I have awful lots of idea and no way to express it. Or is it just my delusion tricking me into thinking that I have ideas. I don't know.

The music video for Animals by Maroon 5 gives me nightmares.

I'd post the link and stuff but A) pretty NSFW and B) I don't want to give other people around my age nightmares. ;~;

The best way to unleash those creative demons is to just scribble anything that comes into mind on a piece of paper. Trust me, I know.

I like to be respectful of believs but I have a hard time understanding why my parnets and their Islamic beliefs had to label dogs out of every animal as "haraam". Dogs are so innocent and loving that it just boggles my mind.

A bunch of my friends have gotten into partying or exploring the downtown area of their college towns, but I'd rather go to the movies or curl up with a book. Just not interested in the nightlife like some people are.

I'll never understand why people are into partying. For me, I'd rather just stay home. :P

I feel like this is going to be me in college except I would be sleeping and be like one of 3 college students who is still a morning person.

I hate the terms "teen" and "tween" (OMG THIS ONE GIVES ME CANCER). I am considered a teen but the term just annoys me for some reason. I guess it's because that the word is associated with teens being idiots, always on their iPhones and with their stupid fads. I still like to consider myself a kid.

Although I absolutely abhor most Christmas carols and am meh with Christmas itself, I actually do not mind Jingle Bell Rock that much.

It's because of that scene in Mean Girls, isn't it? :P

This was me in college... and still me in university. I'll go to the occasional party but it's just not really my thing normally.

I went to one party with my roommates freshman year, some kind of back-to-school gathering in the beginning of the first seemster. There were strobe lights and I got a headache from the loud rap music. Yeahh, I had a great time.
