Avatar Movie Cast

Well, who else were they gonna choose?

If anyone starts naming Nickelodeon/Disney Channel stars, stay out of this conversation. :tonguexd:

I'm so shocked they can't find any Asian actors/actresses. I mean, the whole theme of Avatar is kind Asian, so why not have actors that are at least part Asian to resemble the characters? They're all white (not being racist in any way).

Also, what the ::dolphin noise:: is with the age difference between Katara and Sokka. The actor Sokka is like 10 years older than the actress Katara! In the show, they are only 2 YEARS APART.

Dear God, where are Mike & Bryan right now?

Yes, people have been complaining about how none of them are Asian, but remember, Avatar is NOT an anime. Even if it was, that doesn't mean they have to be Asian. Just look at the Dragonball movie (just made a topic on that, go post there :xD:).

I am well aware it's not an anime, but keep in mind the show still revolves around an Asian theme.

Avatar is an anime, last I checked.

But Jesse McCartney has blond hair. Zuko's hair is brown. Who's the casting lead on this movie, anyway?!

Pretty much the reason why people continue to complain that they're not Asian. >_>

It's anime-inspired.
TV Tome described it as Nickelodeon's first anime cartoon before it was converted into TV.com.

I miss that site. :(

If its animation style is inspired by anime, that doesn't mean it is anime. Avatar was made at Nicktoons Studios, here in the United States. The style is "anime-inspired American animation" (try saying that five times fast).
