Asperger Syndrome

Hey, so is it pronounced @ss-burger or @ss-per-jer? Me and my friend were arguing about it, and I said it was the first one and he said it was the second one. I say it's the first because of that south park episode, but still.

What on earth does that have to do with anything?

It's pronounced both ways, though I always use the first one

I dunno, what DOES the pronunciation of Aspergers Syndrome have to do with a topic called Aspergers Syndrome??
This is discussing whether SpongeBob has it, not the disease in general.
Do any of you read what sub-forum the topic is before you post? :P

Of course this topic's title is simply "Aspergers Syndrome", not "Does SpongeBob Have Aspergers Syndrome". So even when reading the title, my posts still seems appropriate for this topic.
I know, but for example:

"What's Your Favorite Season"

That means either SpongeBob season or Earth season. I have all the rights to say just that title, yet so many people said "SEASON 3" and it was really annoying. It's really not that hard to just read the subforum.

As I said in the Asperger's topic in the Salty Spittoon (and it seems as if this one ought to be headed there, too, in my opinion, due to its potential to offend), I have never been diagnosed with Asperger's but honestly would not surprised if I were to be. To be honest, I think saying SpongeBob has Asperger's is similar to saying that SpongeBob is gay, because these things apply to both of those claims:

1) He isn't/doesn't.

2) But even if that were the case, what should it matter? He's just a cartoon.

Does everyone here have Asperger's? :p (I was diagnosed with it in 2004)

To answer the question though, no. While I admit that some of his traits can be linked to Asperger's, he was never intended to have it.
He did take the advice literally in "Missing Identity", but that was done more for comic effect.
I don't have aspergers, i was just kind of curious if Spongebob has it or not :P
