i recall this one shot of spongebob dressed as a monkey in perfect chemistry gives off season 4 energy.

spongebob-monkey-580187b5ca0ca.jpeg

probably the single most expressive shot in all of season 8 tbh.

The cel looks color accurate, the scanner made it dimmer

Dexters hair color is very inconsistent in the first couple seasons, the camera probably is what probably effects his hair color. I don’t think they used scanners, the episodes were shot on film and then they were taken to the telecline to get mixed with the audio or to have color adjustments.

Savino was digital ink and paint so dexters hair color remained consistent in that era.

MovieBob is in this commercial if you haven't seen it, it appears to look identical to that of Have you seen this snail. which his also the first color correct season 4 episode (non-palebob) I think the last MovieBob episode was Patrick SmartPants. and got phased out by season 5.

It says copyright 2004, so that commercial was likely animated around the time they were working on Have You Seen This Snail. It looks newer than the 2004 stretch of palebob episodes we got in early S4 but still loooks looser than core/late S4.
