This one.... uh........... it was good

I'll have to say, I expected a lot better. Or at least, different. Better here is even more subjective than usual.
What I didn't like about it is that after the pretty good setup, the episode just turns into an anthology of 4 S1 what ifs, one for each Star family member (with the exception of Patrick for obvious reasons). For people who like anthologies, this episode can be great. I do like some anthologies and I do like this one but generally anthologies are not my favorite thing. If it had gone in a non-anthology direction, I would've liked it much more. Most of the stories were good (except Squidina's), and the setup was amazing, too bad it was just a device to set up for an anthology kind of episode. The "wraparounds" in last act were slightly better again but not as good as the setup, except for the one scene where old SB meets new SB. So uh.. Squidina's was boring, Cecil's was funny, Bunny's was okay and GrandPat's was pretty interesting (and funny too but not as much as Cecil's). the setup/wraparound segments were also funny and interesting at times.
that's it for the plot/writing part. Visually, the episode did a great job of capturing the pre-movie style in those segments, and they even put like a film noise filter on top of it for good measure. It was also visually great in most other "present-day" scenes too.
music didn't always try to mimic the old episodes aside from the Help Wanted scene. The Rock Bottom scene for example had relatively modern music editing and choices which in this case was a bit jarring
I'm going to have to rewatch this episode without the commercials and this time knowing very well/expecting that this is an anthology so that I can rate it fairly. As for now my estimate is around 7.5, which IS a good rating but for a special that's a bit.... lower than it should be.

Even though I haven't seen the episode yet, I'm just gonna say imo that for Pre-Movie episodes they should've also put them in 4:3 aspect ratio, similar to how Family Guy did it with Back to the Pilot although tbf that episode was made over a decade ago and Nickelodeon probably wouldn't allow an aspect change especially considering 16:9 has become the new default since 2012 for every show that hadn't switched earlier.
Also for the music, I'm assuming when Help Wanted was unchanged in terms of its music then that means this episode plays Bartmania A which I'll provide a video down below:
