Finale

It's all come down to this, folks. We've certainly been through a lot since March 2nd, 2002, haven't we? I wanted to create a site that would be a haven for Spongebob fans to get the latest news on their favorite sponge. When I started Spongebob Squarepants: The Fansite, I never expected it would take off like it did.  I like to think that Spongebob Online has helped shape the Spongebob internet community into what it is today. It truly has been an honor being able to serve the Spongebob community for three years and four months. It's been an amazing experience, meeting so many new people and just having a darn good time! But all good things must come to an end. Since SBO started, there have been literally hundreds of new Spongebob sites opening up and closing down, and now the time has come for SBO to take it's place in the archives of Spongebob internet history. I've had my fun, but now I feel that I'm ready to move on to bigger and better things.

And now, we have the special thanks: Of course, I'd like to thank the Spongebob crew for their constant support of the site, always willing to provide or update me on the latest happenings in the Spongebob world: Anthony Dente, Sam Henderson, Tom Kenny, Mr. Lawrence, Jay Lender, Paul Tibbitt, and Erik Weise.

All of my affiliates and partners over the years: Chi Chi, Cmonkey, Hans Moleman, and Squidwardd. I'd like to give a special thanks to Sarah, the lovely webmistress whose site inspired the creation of this site 3 years ago. I couldn't have asked for a better sibling site!

And of course, one final thanks goes out to all of you fans reading this right now. There's no way I could possibly list all of the countless sitegoers out there who have been with the site through both the good times and the bad, who have contributed their time and effort into helping the site grow and change, who have always made me happy to be able to provide all of this spongy info! My hat goes off to all of you fine people! I appreciate you all!

Of course, even with SBO no longer being updated, all the info is still here for future use. The site shall remain up for anyone wishing to stop by for information. Please note that the main address (www.sb-online.net) will be expiring soon, so you'll have to solely use the old address (www.spongebobonline.cjb.net) to access the site.

Here's a list of my personal favorite Spongebob websites for those of you looking for a new source of spongey info:

Sarah's Spongebob Shrine- For as long as I can remember, Sarah's site has always been great about having the latest Spongebob news as it hits the community. She also has plenty of great newspaper articles, buddy icons, and more!

Spongey Media- As the name implies, Spongey Media is all about the media, baby. Without a doubt the largest site on the net for...well, spongry media, you can find a boatload of stuff, including image galleries, songs from around the world, and so much more!

United Spongebob- Cmonkey and crew have definitely turned United Spongebob into a thriving Spongebob community. They're pretty up to date on the latest news, and contain a huge message board.

Nickdisk's Spongebob forum- Perhaps the oldest Spongebob web community, these great forums are where you can get the latest Spongebob news usually even before it hits the major sites!

The Ripped Pants Website- The largest database of Spongebob episode transcripts anywhere! It really is an amazing thing you just have to see for yourself.

The Mermalair- My personal favorite part of this site is the highly-detailed episode capsules.

Well, I guess that just about wraps things up, then. If anyone wishes to contact me, you always email me at pcbob@spongebobonline.cjb.net. You can also find me as a regular poster at the Nickdisk forums, linked above. Just because I don't run a Spongebob website anymore doesn't mean I won't still be part of the Spongebob community! I hope to still see most of you guys around! So as I put on my hat and trenchcoat, shut off the lights and close the door to Spongebob Online, I leave you all with a quote:
