Andrew Overtoom

Position: Storyboard Director, Artist
Biography: An Animation Director on SpongeBob SquarePants. He also wrote, directed and filmed My Life with Morrissey, an independent feature film shot on 16mm about an obsessed fan who meets her demise after meeting her rock star idol. In 1996 he moved to Canada to attend the Vancouver Film School’s Classical Animation program. There he wrote and classically animated a three minute film entitled "No Parachute", a short film about the history of flight. After graduation Overtoom attended Pasadena’s yearly Animation Celebration. Producer Mike Girard saw Andrew’s reel and hired him onto Nickelodeon's TV series The Angry Beavers as an Animation Timer. In 1999 Andrew was hired onto another Nickelodeon TV series SpongeBob SquarePants as an Animation Director.
