I'm both excited and a little hesitant. Most of these remakes have been...questionable, but The Jungle Book remake and Maleficent weren't bad so maybe this'll be good. Also it's weird calling this a live-action remake considering it's almost all cgi lol

Maleficent was my favorite, but I hate the Jungle Book only because I know Share Khan always dies.

I will say Khan's death was a little more morbid in the live action, but I loved the movie.

Still ambivalent on this. Visually, it looks gorgeous, but I don't really see much point to it on the whole. The original is still my favorite Disney movie and I just can't imagine this one coming even close to living up to it.

That said, Donald Glover as Simba and John Oliver as Zazu are truly inspired casting. And kudos to them for getting James Earl Jones back as Mufasa.

Exactly, we still have the original so my philosophy is, let them make it because we'll always have the original. It's not like anyone gonna burst in and confederate the original classic.

Also, even if they don't have Be Prepared, couldn't they still make the animation and overdub the voices with the original Be Prepared?
