I heard that Spongebob never had a thanksgiving episode because it airs in certain contreies where the holiday isn;t celebrated
Yeah, but Thanksgiving is an American Holiday. Christmas is celebrated in many more countries than just the United States. Plus, a Thanksgiving special wouldn't really work, they live underwater, not on the U.S' mainland. Maybe a parody of Thanksgiving could be explored, but that's really the most I see when it comes to a Thanksgiving special.jack_of_all_traids said:But wouldn't that mean that there wouldn't be any Christmas specials either? Not everybody celebrates that.
I've always thought there should be a St Patty's Day episode.EB The Original Master said:A Thanksgiving Special would really be good. If they continue doing yearly Christmas and Halloween episodes, there will be no room for variety and the show would be stuck reusing plots from past episodes again and again.
Idc if they live underwater, they need to celebrate other holidays besides Christmas and Halloween
We need episodes based off these holidays
- Easter
- Saint Patrick's Day
- New Years
- Fourth of July
There isn't actually. It's kind of disappointing.Spongey34 said:I've always thought there should be a St Patty's Day episode.
They were shown celebrating the Fourth of July in Breath of Fresh Squidward.McSponge said:Yeah, but Thanksgiving is an American Holiday. Just because they showed pictures of them celebrating different holidays doesn't mean we had an episode focused on that holiday.SploderEnigma said:They were shown celebrating the Fourth of July in Breath of Fresh Squidward.
Perhaps we have Sandy at an archaeological dig near the SpongeBuck statue, ready for her Thanksgiving adventure, who then brings up the Mayan ancestors of the cast as she find them? Would work as a spotlight episode for her. Bunny Hunt's not a conventional Easter episode, instead more a shout out to the most famous bunny in animation. Holiday episodes don't have to be conventional, even for this show. I can imagine a very serious episode (very special episode) based aroundNight-Waker said:I wouldn't mind a Thanksgiving episode, but since it's mainly a US holiday I don't see them celebrating it (Unless they pull a Christmas Who and have Sandy introduce it to everyone). Instead, I always imagined they'd have a holiday that's similar to Thanksgiving, but also it's own thing
