If you love Cartoon Network staples like “Adventure Time,” “The Powerpuff Girls” and “Ben 10,” then you will love their new cartoon-themed hotel.
Turner Broadcasting partnered with Palace Entertainment and recently announced the construction of a 165-room hotel in Central Pennsylvania.
Guests will be able to “experience the animated worlds of Cartoon Network” through a combination of character animation and technology.
“With just the right mix of technology, design and animation, we’re aiming to bring our characters to life in a way that we haven’t seen done before,” said Christina Miller, President of Cartoon Network-Adult Swim-Boomerang.
Turner Broadcasting said the nine-acre destination will have an interactive lobby, a resort-style pool, an outdoor amphitheater and other features. Parents will also get the chance to enjoy a wine bar at the resort.
The hotel will also be close to the Dutch Wonderland Family Amusement Park.
The hotel is scheduled to open in the summer of 2019.

I just hope they learned from the Nickelodeon resort’s mistakes.
Being located close to an amusement park in Lancaster, Pennsylvania most certainly helps, as it will draw in a lot of tourists, including fans of Cartoon Network's shows.

The biggest problem with the Nick hotel was the fact that it felt isolated from Disney World and Universal Orlando, and it was marketed as an all-inclusive resort in Florida, where such things weren't as common.

The reason Disney has resort hotels is that they're located on the park's premises.

Other problems at the Nick hotel included the outdated decor, since a lot of those cartoons were discontinued by the time the hotel was sold back to Holiday Inn.

When it comes to hotels, people look for something that fits well within their budget as well as its location. Usually a hotel has shuttle vans just in case the attractions are far away.

I do like Cartoon Network's foray into hotels. I hope it becomes successful enough that they could open a few more locations...

If I can afford it and have nothing else to do on a vacation, I'd probably stay here...guess I need a better paying job first.
