In response to my "Would You Rather" question I posted recently, about rather you prefer sleeping in silence or with soft audible music, made me curious about your preferences of sleep.

I like sleeping with soothing music on, except during Spring and Summer I'm listening to the air conditioner. During Winter though, I don't have it on so I'm listening to soothing music. I have sleep music with my preferred nature sounds or just, nice sleep music.

Anyways, what's your preference for sleep?

Soft music? Or Silence?

In my opinion, sleeping in silence has to be maddening.

I thought this topic was going to be like positions you like sleeping in lol. But yeah, I don't like sleeping, by the time I get soft music going, I'll get distracted and end up just messing around. So I've never managed to sleep with music, except for one song, this:

It's not really soft music, but I feel like someone will hurt me if I don't sleep asap, it works pretty well.

I love silence,it relaxes me.
Though, during the summer I do have the air conditioner on, but it's more of a background sound... I'm more of a sleeping-in-silence person.

I'll make that my next topic, maybe. But I usually toss and turn. I'm either laying down on my right or left side.

I wouldn't be able to sleep to that, eventually I'll have to have my soothing music.

What helps me are warm blankets (not necessarily tucked), a chill Let’s Play for a soft, social feeling, and a glass of water with ice.
I Used to have soda cans next to my bed similarly to the glass of water, that changed to concealed bottled drinks when ants invaded my drinks.

Here's hoping you didn't have the same problem with your iced water.

i have very severe misophonia so i need really a specific set up to fall asleep comfortably. i need to have a white noise machine on at all times to block out noise, and i'm also almost always wearing my noise cancelling headphones too, but wearing them to sleep is such a pain. they're huge bulky headphones so they're so uncomfortable to wear =/ without having all my stuff i would probably actually die =( misophonia sucks.

i can sometimes sleep to music, but i only really do if i'm emotional lol. the music i like usually isn't the best for sleeping too, but sometimes i listen until i'm tired enough to fall asleep and then shut it off

I used to listen to music to go to sleep.. now I don't have anything and I keep the room quiet. Probably because I just fall asleep instantly now when I'm ready to get in bed. Not forced to go to bed early when I'm not sleepy like when I was a little kid :P

Oh my god same, I have like 10 stuffed animals I sleep with every night, it's embarrassing as hell when my friends come over and see it, but it's totally worth it <3.
