This had a lot of effort put into it, but I don’t like “early-mid/late 90s”. Just say 90s, or have more stable dates with less chance of bleeding (ie, 1985-1993, 1990-1998). I identify as an early Gen Zer, but a had a lot of stuff from late Gen Y in my childhood. I just wish all the heat about what millennials exactly are would wear off already, because generational cohorts don’t quite work anymore due to how culture’s changed.

Based off of this I'm a Gen Zer and was influenced mainly by those things (especially from what's marked as "Early Gen Z") but I was influenced by some Gen Y things due to having an older brother

Most of my childhood was Gen Z (2005 onwards) because I was born in 1998, so I will go with that. Besides, my life before 2006 has been somewhat of a blur to me anyways.

I associate myself with Generation Y, a.k.a. "Echo Boomers" or "Millennials." I was born in between 1977-1994 in the year 1987 and I came of age sometime in the new millennium (the 2000s).

Those years are rather outdated. Nowadays, most people say Millennials are 1982-1996 (if you go by the "remembers 9/11" thing) OR 1982-2000 (if you want a link to the *millenni*um) though it's debated. 1977 is a really outdated starting date for Millennials.
I changed 1977 to 1980, changed 1978 to 1981.

The years in this video are more up to date, however:

I don't think core Gen Z begun until 2013. But yeah, I was born in 2001, so my childhood was an akward blur between Early Gen Z and Core Gen Z. Most people born between 1998 and 2002 have that akward blur between those two. 2013 was the transition between Early and Core gen Z. I would say core Gen Z began in 2015, when trends became popular. I don't even remember hearing the word selfie until 2014. I think my early childhood is a little bit more like the 90s, than today, cicra 2008.

I'm like between late Gen Y and early Gen Z but since 9/11 happened a few days after my 2nd birthday (so I don't remember the events that day) I would go with early Gen Z then.

It’s interesting seeing just how many people here identify as Gen Zers. A majority of this forum’s users being born after SpongeBob aired says a lot about its longevity.

Early Gen Z for me. I can remember my first gaming devices being a Wii and a DS. Also, can't remember 9/11.
