For anyone who is unaware, Thomas Petruo, the actor who plays Sheldon J. Plankton in the German dub, passed away recently on April 13, 2018. Thomas Petruo was a very talented man, and though I've only been a regular viewer of the German dub for about 2 years, his voice was very iconic and will be hard to find a replacement. When I first heard the news, I was really hurt emotionally, Plankton had one of the most talented voices in the dub, and to hear that his voice actor had passed away, really threw me in shock. I really hope the best to all his friends and family as well as any viewers who grew up with his voice and enjoyed it as much as I have. Petruo will always be remembered through his work by fans old and new, and will remain an influence for new generations to come. Rest in peace, Thomas Petruo, you will truly be missed.
