Hey look, an actually real new "deleted scene"
A few seconds of animation got cut from "Texas" (originally thought to be from an unfinished episode) and fans were able to piece it back together from animation cels and drawings being sold online. Pretty interesting stuff.

I can see why they deleted the joke. Although it’s a funny visual, it’s brief and doesn’t serve much of a purpose. Then again, that could just be due to the editing, which was still an earnest job.

I think it wasn't just a visual gag, like there was a cut line in the middle and all the editors had was some of the animation
