Well, you guys have not been waiting for it for a few months now, it's time for me to share my picks on the Top 10 Best-hold on a minute! This won't be your regular ol' ranking list, where I simply rank the best episodes from my several Top 10 lists. No, this is different. Instead, I'll be diving into my personal favorite episodes of the series. Yes, some picks will contradict my rankings on the Top 10 lists. However, those lists rely on both a personal mixture of my opinions, and how I deem the episode's quality (I generally rank each episode by how creative the plot, how good the comedy is, the variety of characters or how the characters behave in the episode, how good/exciting the climax is, how good the ending is). This time, I'm going straight for my opinion, and my opinion only. These are my Top 10 Favorite episodes of the series [First 10 Seasons only]. Originally written on January 2nd, 2018.
__________________________________________________________________________________________

A couple of days ago I worked on my picks for the absolute worst episodes of one of my favorite cartoons out there. Now, it's time for quite the opposite. There are TONS of great episodes in this series (Probably about a good quarter or so of the episodes in this series are either Great or Amazing in my opinion), but of course, sticking with tradition, there can only be 10 episodes on this list. Today I am sharing with you my picks for the Top 10 Best SpongeBob Episodes (For the first 10 Seasons). Like my Top 10 Worst list, in order to avoid a predictable "Ranking" of the best episodes from each list, I'm going to delve into my personal opinions. As a result, there will be episodes that aren't as great as other episodes in it's Season, that still remain my favorites either way, resulting in a higher ranking on this list. So, let's get started!

10. Texas
Original Airdate: 3-22-2000
Main Characters: Sandy, SpongeBob, Patrick
Plot: Sandy gets homesick for Texas, and SpongeBob and Patrick tries to cheer her up.

Original Review: "I don't think I've ever seen episode quite like this one, where a bunch of citizens from Bikini Bottom team up, to cheer a character up. This episode is full of emotional moments, and has so many wonderful jokes. Now, since this is number 1 on the list, let me pour my emotion into this. In 3, 2, 1....

YES! THIS IS TRULY THE BEST EPISODE OF SEASON 1!!!

Thank you for joining me, while I show some emotion. But seriously, this episode is pure perfection! It has TONS of character development for Sandy, and we really get to know about her background, where she came from, how she feels, we can truly connect with her. There's plenty of emotion in this episode (Not emotion that'll make the audience feel the emotion, but at least make them feel somewhat sad for her, and happy for her at the ending). I mean, the whole "Wish I was back in Texas" song is a wonderfully written song, as it's goofy, and lighthearted, and can be taken seriously. There are pleasant visuals, and Sandy gives a good performance during the song *Plus the guest star performance at the end was a funny touch*. It has even MORE comedy with the notes causing everyone in Bikini Bottom to cry (Seeing Mr. Krabs break down is hilarious!!!). The ending of this episode is very nice, and I truly love seeing everyone get together, and seeing Sandy become happy, and realizing all her true friends were in Bikini Bottom, and it was her home. The ending is really nice, as is the song. So we got emotion, and great use of characters, but what else? The comedy!!!

This episode has nonstop laughs, from beginning to end! SpongeBob and Patrick making fun of Texas, and Sandy's bitter remarks at them are a hilarious way to lure her to the Krusty Krab! The beginning has plenty of comedy, from SpongeBob and Patrick roleplaying at the beach, to Sandy's toilet flusher, this episode has tons of hilarious, and funny moments to coincide along with the emotion this episode has. The plot, as mentioned before really builds on Sandy's character, and the ending is sweet. The climax is very suspenseful (Possibly more suspenseful than any of the climaxes in the previous episode, and this episode all in all, is a masterpiece. It balances out all the great qualities of an episode, and it's downright my pick for the best episode of Season 1!!! I highly recommend it."

Final Thoughts: Texas is definitely a classic episode. Out of all the older SpongeBob episodes, this one seems to have a knack for kicking in a special sense of nostalgia. Texas is definitely the best episode of the first Season, and I view it as one of my favorite episodes in the entire series. The plot is as simple as you can get, but it's the heart of the characters that truly make this an enjoyable story. There is no real antagonist or protagonist, it feels like a calmer, more slice-of-life experience. That is, until we reach the climax where we're exposed to a classic, zany/cartoony chase sequence that perfectly resonates with the series. The comedy is on par in this episode, with a lot of really good one-liners and memorable gags, while the story is moved through the characters, particularly their interactions with one another. This is truly a timeless episode and remains one of my favorites to this day.

9. Walking Small
Original Airdate: 3-22-2000
Main Characters: Plankton, SpongeBob
Plot: Plankton teaches SpongeBob to be more assertive (While secretly making SpongeBob clear everyone from Goo Lagoon, to make way for his own restaurant)

Original Review: "This is one of the most underrated episodes of all time. I kid you not, this used to be my favorite episode of the ENTIRE series. Sure, my opinion has changed over time, but that doesn't excuse the fact that this episode is outstanding! So many funny gags in this episode, such a simple plot, a variety of characters, a nice ending. How does it all work? I'll tell you. This episode is chock FULL of clever, and really funny gags! How SpongeBob completely fails to succeed in Plankton's tasks, are downright hilarious! He ends up going from trying to keep his metal detector to himself, to allowing a guy to find buried treasure! It's so absurd, and completely works!! It's such a complex joke, and still manages to get plenty of laughs! SpongeBob interacting with various rude jerks on the beach is very comedic, and Plankton's reaction just fuels the laughter even more! The plotline is pretty interesting, considering this is the first time we see Plankton try to gain business without stealing the formula, so it really does make the episode quite a unique experience. There are tons of memorable moments in this episode like no other (From the Buried Treasure gag listed above, to SpongeBob's awesome dance/song at the beginning of the episode), that makes this episode all to more original. The climax makes SpongeBob quite unlikable (Which is probably the reason why this is at #2), but it all gets saved during the end, when SpongeBob unites everyone together at the beach, by being assertively nice. SpongeBob's insanely kind actions, to Plankton's horrified reactions to them, are downright comedy gold! I honestly must say, that this is one of the best episodes from Season 1, and possibly one of the best of the series! I highly recommend watching this episode if you haven't, you won't regret it."

Final Thoughts: Walking Small is one of the greatest Plankton-centered episodes in the series. And it doesn't even feature the Krusty Krab, it's entirely located in Goo Lagoon. This is the episode where SpongeBob and Plankton's chemistry really seems to shine. They didn't really seem to interact that well in my opinion until F.U.N, but in a sense it didn't really come off as natural as their interaction in this episode (I guess that makes sense, knowing Plankton's manipulation in F.U.N being covered up much better than it was in this episode). This is an episode dedicated to nothing more than just a series of laughs. The concept of having SpongeBob attempt to be a more assertive figure is definitely an idea that can shape into a hilarious execution. He fails so miserably at doing so at first, it's really half the fun with this episode. SpongeBob just being SpongeBob, a likable, happy-go-lucky fellow who really doesn't do well at being a more aggressive fellow really shapes this episode into what it is. It's a delightful experience, and actually has a pretty touching moment at the end of the episode. Yeah, it actually sets time aside after a long series of gags in order to progress the story into SpongeBob learning his lesson about how he should properly behave. Even though Texas is a better episode, I personally like this episode more so than Texas, and consider it to be one of my all-time favorites in the series. It is such an underrated classic.

8. Imitation Krabs
Original Airdate: 12-28-2000
Main Characters: Plankton, SpongeBob, Mr. Krabs
Plot: Plankton disguises himself in a robot that looks like Mr. Krabs, and tries to get the formula from SpongeBob.

Original Review: "Oh boy, what a classic! By the way, starting from here, the rest of the list are episodes I'm nostalgic about, so keep that in mind. Anyway, regardless of my nostalgia, this is still an awesome episode! This is the first Plankton disguise episode (The first out of many, a lot of which stink), and it's done really well. The whole concept of Plankton disguising himself in a robot was a new, and fresh story element at the time, and the whole "Disguising himself" factor hasn't been run into the ground yet. This whole concept idea is pretty original, and allows for a great story to come out in the episode! This episode is done in a peculiar fashion, that's hard to describe, but the way the plot is done is done in a really awesome way! The concept is creative (At the time it was), and a lot of funny jokes come out of this episode, from Plankton giving Squidward the day off, to all of SpongeBob's reactions to the Mr. Krabs robot suit, this truly makes up for an outstanding episode! The climax is pretty suspenseful if you think about it, something that isn't done successfully take much in SpongeBob, and how SpongeBob handles Mr. Krabs is hilarious! I love this episode, and I truly believe this is one of the best episodes in the season! Granted, there is that nostalgic factor, but the quality of this episode never ceases to decrease! I really enjoy this episode, and I find it to be an awesome episode!"

Final Thoughts: This is truly the ideal Plankton episode. A type of episode that has set been redone a handful of times throughout the rest of the series' run, but of course, nothing can beat the classic. Imitation Krabs is by far the greatest Plankton episode out there. It's basic plot, very original to the series at this point, was written and shaped into such a funny episode. There are so many great gags in this episode, some of which take a surreal turn, especially towards the end. And can you really blame the episode? It had a more Sci-Fi-esque conflict to begin with, the humor is definitely on-par with the the episode's premise. The characters in this episode are really where the episode shines. A lot of gags just center around all the obstacles Plankton tends to run into when attempting to stealing the formula. And in a sense that's really what keeps this episode as entertaining as it is. It's got such a simple layout but you can't help enjoy yourself when watching it, especially when Plankton comes so close to getting the formula a few times. It's an episode that manages to balance out a lot of things well, when it comes to it's story, it's humor, it's pacing, it's characters, everything about it just flows naturally, and it's really a timeless episode.

7. Sandy's Nutmare
Original Airdate: 7-12-2016
Plot: After using her tree's nuts to create Nutty Butter, Patrick gives some samples to citizens in Bikini Bottom. It becomes such a success, they go to Sandy begging for more. Now, Sandy uses a scientific growth serum to speed up production of the tree's nuts, at the expense of the tree itself.
Main Characters: Sandy, Shaman, SpongeBob

Original Review: "Ever since I originally saw this episode, it has remained one of my favorite episodes of the Season. It does so many things right, I'm not sure where to even begin. First off, this episode has a perfect blend between Science Sandy, and natural Texas Sandy. How? I'll explain soon. For starters, it's great to see a Sandy plot branch out from a science related plot, a karate related plot, or a survival related plot. Though never really a focus at all in the series, this episode focuses on the tree within Sandy's Treedome itself. Past episodes focused on the air within the dome, but this is the first time we really get some time dedicated to the tree, and I can appreciate that. It's a pretty original plot. As for the conflict, I think it's set up, executed, and resolved in a such a perfect way. The conflict involves Sandy speeding up the production of nuts produced by her tree, via Science (This isn't until a few funny gags play out), and she uses it for the tree. Now, I'm against overused cliche episode concepts in cartoons. Preserving nature is one of those (With being afraid of the doctor/dentist being another), but this episode doesn't present the "Respecting Nature" lesson in an entirely forced way. In fact, it's done in one of the most creative ways possible. The Shaman character in this episode is fabulous, not doubt about it. He's such a delight to watch, I really love this character. From his distinct design, to his vibrant personality, he's just such a fun, and lovable character. The climax of the episode (The Moon/Sun/Star Sequence) is incredibly creative with it's unique art style, not to mention it's a very funny sequence as well. This episode shares a commonly used lesson within cartoons, but manages to present it in such a way that differs from most other cartoons. It's funny, it's very creative, it has a cast of likable characters, there's one episode in this season better than this one."

Final Thoughts: Sandy's Nutmare is such a creative marvel. It has so many interesting elements presented throughout the episode, from a mix between Sandy's Scientific and Natural Texan Girl sides, to the Shaman Character, to the visually creative artstyle presented through the Shaman's "Moon Story". The episode's storyline is very innovative, finally presenting some kind of original storyline through Sandy's scientific side. Nothing about this episode truly feels repetitive or unoriginal, the story is really creative, not to mention charming. The focus on Sandy's tree was a neat aspect of the episode, one that has never been done in the series before. The shaman especially keeps the story moving along once he's brought into the picture. He brings such a level of creativity to this episode, I absolutely love the guy, he's such a fascinating and entertaining character, just about every time he shows up on screen one of the episode's highlights play out. The lesson to the episode was also a nice little touch this innocent enough storyline, and it wasn't shoved down your throat in such an obvious manner, no, it's actually presented through comedy. The shaman's story is so delightfully entertaining from an artistic standpoint with it's unique presentation to an audience standpoint by having a plethora of funny gags. I also really liked how there is no real clear enemy in this episode. Sandy learns that while Science is useful, there are some things that should just be left alone naturally, without the aid of science. Science is good, but it shouldn't be overdone. I kind of feel like that's an overarching subliminal message about Sandy's character. A common complaint over the years is that her interest in science has been widely expanded and constantly presented to the point where the writers don't nearly make as many episodes embellishing her "Texas" side. Especially since there was only one episode she was shown to be a scientist back in the Pre-Movie era, while the rest of the episodes showed her as a more exciting, well-rounded character with a multitude of interests and hobbies. The balance between her overused science side and her more natural Texan girl side in this episode felt like a refreshing change of tone. Overall this episode was handled perfectly, it's comedy was great, it introduced a fun and memorable characters, the lesson was nice, I never really lost interest in the story, I consider this to be one of the best episodes in the series.

6. Krusty Towers
Original Airdate: 4-1-2006
Plot: Mr. Krabs turns the Krusty Krab into a hotel. When Squidward becomes so sick of how poorly treated he is as an employee there, he decides to quit his job...

...and come back as an annoying customer.
Main Characters: Squidward, Mr. Krabs, Patrick, SpongeBob

Original Review: "You knew this was going to be #1, I knew it was going to be close to #1, this episode is generally considered to be the absolute best episode of this show's Fourth Season, and I can fully 100% agree with that statement. This episode is the absolute best episode of this ENTIRE SEASON! This episode, first of all, has a very creative plot. The Krusty Krab becoming a hotel? That's insane! But it works very well, and provides very interesting, new scenery to back up the main plot of this episode (Which really revolves around the plaque). As for that plaque, it was very clever of the writers to have Squidward suffer from this plaque, only to turn the tables onto Krabs, by using the plaque that was once against him at his own advantage! This is done in a really clever way, and I'm glad the writers took time to set up this plot, as in the meantime, they cranked out a lot of jokes! If Fear of a Krabby Patty was the funniest episode in this Season, then Krusty Towers is the 2nd funniest episode in this season! It is FULL of jokes! There are so many funny jokes that keep building onto each other, making this episode all the more funny! For instance, the Krabby Patty with Hair, Toenail clippings, and Cheese gag is dragged out into 3 different ways, in a very short span, and proves to be a hilarious complex joke! From the ridiculousness of the order itself, to how it looks, to the joke that SpongeBob says it wasn't really a Krabby Patty with Hair, toenail clippings, and cheese, only to have that fall back on Krabs, when it turns out they were all out of cheese, then starting a cutaway gag with Patrick's room full of cheese, and him yelling hooray! Very random, but totally in character! This episode is brilliant all the way around! There tons of hilarious jokes, interesting scenery, a fun turn of events, an interesting climax, and a hilarious ending! This episode truly IS the absolute best Season 4 SpongeBob episode!"

Final Thoughts: Aside from Fear of a Krabby Patty, Krusty Towers is definitely the fastest, and most witty episode of the Post-Move era. It is so quick on it's feet with gags, there are more funny jokes in this episode than I can count. I personally consider this to be the best episode of Season 4, and I still stand by that opinion to this day. The plot is so ridiculous, you know for a fact that you're in store for a crazy ride. The episode itself is just that, the overall silly high jinks that occur as a result of the KK's transition to becoming a hotel perfectly takes full advantage of the drastic change of scenery. And the best part about the episode has to be the twist. The episode felt like it was going to go on a fairly repetitive route, with Squidward having to put up with the nonsense of the Krusty Towers. Mind you the nonsense he deals with is a series of jokes that perfectly demonstrate how to inflict misery on a character for the sake of comedy. However, the episode suddenly turns the table around on Krabs with Squidward quitting his job and making Krabs life as much of a nightmare Krabs put him through (Which I consider to be a hilarious turn of events that really keeps the episode fresh by progressing the story with providing an ample supply of even more hilarious content). Overall this is certainly one of the funniest episodes of the series, there are lots of great laughs, it's just an enjoyable time all together.

5. Krusty Krab Training Video
Original Airdate: 5-10-2002
Plot: You're the new Krusty Krab employee! Here's a video to guide you through working at the Krusty Krab
Main Characters: SpongeBob, Mr. Krabs, Squidward, Patrick

Original Review: "
You knew this was going to pop up on the list, there was no avoiding it. As much as I wanted this to be lower on the list, in order to have a more unique set of opinions, I really checked out this episode, and there's no denying that the quality of it is so strong, you just can't avoid having it this high on the list! The whole premise of a training video at the Krusty Krab is genius. It is, it truly is. It's a fast food restaurant, so it's a PERFECT concept that won't be done in any other cartoon, considering none of them focus around some sort of restaurant or shop as much as SpongeBob does. This episode has a genius premise, and I really have to give it to the writers, they did a fantastic job capturing the cheesiness, and cliches of training videos. They even went the extra mile by having a guy who actually narrated training videos in real life narrate this episode. As for the comedy, well, to sum it up, every major scene in this episode seems to have its own individual hilarious joke. There are OODLES of jokes in this episode that are absolute classics! From the P. o.o.P joke, to Mr. Krabs' saying (The Money is always right) to the "advanced" technological advancements of the restaurant, there are just so many jokes in this episode! All different types of jokes! Ones about regular SpongeBob events like Plankton failing to steal the formula, or 4th wall jokes like Patrick being freaked out by the voice of the narrator, wondering who it is. All in all, this episode has an amazing premise, and while it doesn't really seem to have a plot, it's all made up by the large amount of funny jokes. And that ending, oh, that ending. Sure, Nick ruins it nowadays by playing the credits at the bottom of the screen leading up to the ending, but back before Nick added that annoying feature, the ending was an amazing smack in the face! You all expected to hear the formula, didn't you? Heh-heh, WRONG! It's truly amazing that the writers pulled off such a hilarious ending that trolls you by cutting itself off. This is definitely one of the greatest quality episodes in the series!"

Final Thoughts: The Krusty Krab Training Video is essentially the pinnacle of fast-paced delivery of a constant flow of joke. It's just one after another, after another, this episode is filled such a variety of different jokes. The Krusty Krab Training Video already has a pretty creative and original premise. I believe this is a one-of-a-kind episode, being that I've never seen another episode of ANY type of series take on this kind of format (Before this episode came out at least). Just the idea alone of having an entire episode being nothing more than a training video is so genuinely brilliant and resulted in some of the best satire this series has created. The direction of this episode is marvelous and is truly a masterpiece in it's own sense. It's simply one of my favorite SpongeBob episodes to this day, it never gets old, whenever there's a joke that does seem to grow old and stale, I usually come across a different joke that ends up replacing that one in the laughs department.

4. Krab Borg!
Original Airdate: 3-29-2002
Plot: SpongeBob watches a horror movie about robots taking over the world, and the following day, he ends up fooling himself, and Squidward into thinking Mr. Krabs is a robot.
Main Characters: SpongeBob, Squidward, Mr. Krabs

Original Review: "This episode for a time was my favorite episode in the entire series. And rightfully so, this is definitely one of the greatest episodes of the series. First off, the plot line is entirely original. There are plots similar to this in other forms of entertaining media, but this one is the first of its kind. The plot is fully original, and really allows for tons of hilarious exchanges between SpongeBob, and Squidward. Really, it's these 2 that make the episode. Squidward's sarcastic, realistic, logical remarks, to SpongeBob's insane blabbering makes for some really hilarious moments, like when Squidward throws SpongeBob into the kitchen, and he pops back out of nowhere, or when SpongeBob constantly tells Mr. Krabs to come over here, then telling Krabs made up information that relate to Squidward. These two have a brilliant bond, and I think this episode's execution of the plot is even better than the plot itself! There are tons of hilarious jokes in this episode, from Krabs doing the "Robot" to a song (Which, by the way, is an awesome piece of instrumental music), to SpongeBob and Squidward reading a book "How to Torture". The way Mr. Krabs causes Squidward to indirectly believe SpongeBob is genius, and is a really strong plot point for this episode. The interrogation between Mr. Krabs, and SpongeBob/Squidward is really entertaining, and even is a great climax that leads to the episode's ending that Krabs isn't a robot, and it turns out the movie ended with everyone realizing there was never a robot. it was just their imagination. What an ending. This episode is a hilarious episode, with tons of hilarious quotes, great characters, and a really original, and genius plot."

Final Thoughts: Krab Borg! is without a doubt one of the funniest episodes in the series. Being for a time my personal favorite episode, now simply in the Top 5, I still consider Krab Borg! to be a flawless masterpiece this series has presented. The storyline is a simple "misunderstanding" storyline, but the whole robot edge is what branches this episode's conflict away from the standard "misunderstanding" premise. The episode is packed with a bundle of great gags thrown in one by one. There are definitely lots of good jokes in this episode, but every two or so minutes we're treated to some of the funniest jokes in the entire series (Like "Squidward love you" to of course, the iconic Robot Dance). This episode remains a very iconic episode, and it deserves it. It portrays some of the funniest bits the series has seen to date. It's centered around a perfect pairing of Squidward and SpongeBob. The two bounce off each other very well in this episode, and seem to be the main core of it. It results in a perfect episode, containing an entertaining story, and some of the series' greatest jokes.

3. No Weenies Allowed
Original Airdate: 3-15-2002
Plot: SpongeBob tries to get into the Salty Spittoon, the roughest, toughest club in all the sea. But first, he has to prove he's tough to get in.
Main Characters: SpongeBob, Reg, Sandy, Nerds, Weenie Hut Jr. Waiter, Patrick

Original Review: "Oh boy, let's get into this episode! This episode has to be one of my personal favorites of the Season. It's just such a perfect episode! It has a plot that allows for tons of funny moments to occur. The idea of SpongeBob trying to get into a tough club is hilarious! Sure, you'd think the writers would focus on the experience in the club, but instead, they poke fun of how funny this situation of SpongeBob just trying to get INTO the club can be! And it really works. The interactions between SpongeBob and Reg can go from chuckle worthy, to absolutely hilarious! There are just TONS of memorable moments in this episode, from the more famous "I Stubbed my toe, and I only cried for 20 minutes" quote, to SpongeBob pretending to be a tattoo on some tough fish's arm, it just makes for so many comedic situations! All the attempts SpongeBob makes to try to get into the club has at least some top notch quality joke that'll leave you laughing for a good handful of seconds the first time you lay eyes on this episode. This episode does an amazing job with the various different attempts SpongeBob takes to get into the Salty Spittoon. And of course, we have Weenie Hut Jr's. A place where nerds, and weenies hang out. These moments where SpongeBob are among people weenier then he is, really allow for really funny moments if you think about it. SpongeBob is trying to prove he's too tough for this place, and is trying to get into a very tough club. But, he ends up failing, and each time returns to the place he's reluctant to go, claiming he has no friends there, yet Patrick is there, hanging out. This is hilarious, and really adds on a deeper, funnier element to the plot upon watching the episode. Even then, various other gags regarding Weenie Hut Jr's are hilarious like the fact that the waiter there is a robot, the fact that there are other Weenie Hut locations, and the overly exaggerated amount of themed days. All in all, it's a really funny episode, just overall. All of SpongeBob's interactions in this episode have some form of comedic charm to them, and it just leads to being an overall hilarious episode."

Final Thoughts: If you couldn't tell from my review I am particularly fond with this episode. It's been one of my favorites for years and as such remains one of my favorites to this day. The conflict of the episode simply centers around the underdog attempting to rise to the top in a society he's not accepted into. Only the episode is nowhere near as serious as that and presents an overall silly, yet clever vibe that made the series great to begin with. The fun is really in the characters, Reg is such a likable force against SpongeBob, and the nerds are lots of fun to watch as well. The tough guys who enter the Salty Spittoon also tend to bring in some really funny gags. Pretty much all the characters in this episode are a blast to watch, with just about every one of them being paired up with a hilarious gag. Even someone like Sandy who only appears in the setup to the conflict and the resolution, or Tom who only appears in one scene both have their share of comedy. The episode brings in a fresh set of clever jokes from the Toenail line to the gags with "Weenie Hut _____ ". It's one of the best episodes in the series and is by far one of my favorites.

2. SpongeBob Meets the Strangler
Original Airdate: 10-11-2004
Plot: SpongeBob tells on a criminal for littering, by calling the police. But, what happens when the criminal escapes, and SpongeBob is in danger of getting strangled! He resorts to hiring a bodyguard, unaware that the bodyguard is the strangler.
Main Characters: SpongeBob, The Strangler, Patrick

Original Review: "Oh man, this is the one. This is the one. my personal favorite episode in the entire Season. It's so fantastic, I find it to be better quality than the Krusty Krab training video! Now that's something hard to accomplish. This episode is amazing. It truly is. It's my favorite episode in the entire Season, and is one of my top favorites of the Series! This episode is incredible. It has such a funny plot! A series plot element, a criminal who is known for strangling people who tells on him, cleverly becomes his next planned victim's bodyguard, and even funnier, SpongeBob, and everyone else is completely oblivious to it, despite its obviousness! The fact that this serious character is driven mad from SpongeBob's constant stalling, and parties, that he straight up ditches SpongeBob claiming he's being chased by a maniac! Oh the hilarious irony! And he even ends up in jail at the end! This episode just incredibly funny! From the constant irony of the plot line, to other gems like Squidward having a 12% rate of showing up to work on time, or SpongeBob debating which paper towel to get (Best paper towel around, or Best Paper towel in town). These little moments are just absolutely hilarious, and even add a bit of realistic comedy into the episode as well. Trust me, there are nonsensical ones that work, as well. Especially SpongeBob jumping into the strangler's eye sockets wearing sharp cleats. Ouch! That moment is so insanely hilarious, and to this day still gets me laughing. It is a hilarious moment, especially the cleverly placed "6 Hours Later" time card! There are just so many hilarious jokes in this episode, I certainly can't count them all. For an episode that's in a pair that wraps up the Season, oh boy, it really helps end the Season on a high note! This is a perfect, excellent masterpiece, and in my opinion, it's the absolute best episode of SpongeBob's third season."

Final Thoughts: The Strangler is one of my favorite characters in the series. He's so much fun to watch, especially when he snaps and tries to escape SpongeBob's ironic torment in this episode. Seeing him try, and try again to get his unnecessary revenge on the poor Sponge, only to fail miserably is absolutely hilarious. This episode is the best episode of Season 3, my second-favorite Season in the series. SpongeBob Meets the Strangler is a hilariously twisted classic that takes something dark and twists it into goofy lightheartedness that fits the series well. But! That doesn't mean this episode lacks any form of cleverness, oh no, there are so many clever jokes in this episode, especially the hilarious satire on marketing with the paper towels. The constant torment done to the Strangler is just hilarious to watch making this one of the funniest episodes in the series. Now I've said that for just about all the entries on this list, but this was seems especially special in my eyes. Seeing this antagonist learn his lesson through a painstaking turn of events is the perfect to layout the story. SpongeBob would never harm anything even if it was this diabolical strangler who is after him. So this indirect form of torture is a brilliant way of progressing the story and opens the gate to an endless amount of jokes.

Before we move on to my Number 1 pick, here are a few honorable mentions

Roller Cowards

The Whole Tooth

Band Geeks

Krusty Krushers

Wet Painters

And the best episode of SpongeBob is...

1. Dying For Pie
Original Airdate: 12-28-2000
Main Charcters: Squidward, SpongeBob
Plot: Squidward gets a pie from a group of pirates, for "Employee Brotherhood Day", and gives it to SpongeBob. But what happens when he discovers a bomb was in the pie!?

Original Review: "masterpiece. A perfect masterpiece. SpongeBob has never really delved into more serious plots at the time, so this is really something special. This episode is just so incredible, beyond belief. First off, the plot is amazing, and is completely original, and 100% creative, the jokes are so funny, and really stick out, and makes this episode shine, and the suspense in this episode is really something, especially during the climax, when SpongeBob is thought to have DIED! Yeah, an EXPLOSION from the other side of Squidward's wall, at the same time SpongeBob was supposed to explode! When you first see this episode, you're probably shocked thinking "No, SpongeBob can't possibly be dead. Can he?", and once you're done questioning, it turns out SpongeBob never ate the pie, and just put it in his pockets, but the writers did an INCREDIBLE job working on this episode. Seriously, this episode is one of the greatest episodes in the entire series! I truly believe that this episode is one of the highest quality episodes in the entire series. I believe that this is one of the greatest episodes in SpongeBob's Second Season. It is such a perfect, glorious, magnificent episode, and is done in such an outstanding way!"

Final Thoughts: Everything about this episode is perfect! Right from when we jump into the episode we're greeted by the start of a long line of jokes. While Dying For Pie isn't as funny as SpongeBob Meets the Strangler, it certain is the perfect episode of the series. Everything about it! The plot, the comedy, the characters, the climax, the twist, everything about this episode is presented perfectly. The plot is hilariously twisted, yet is also silly at the same time. The comedy, oh, there are so many wonderful jokes in this episode. The characters, Squidward feels legitimately bad for SpongeBob and ends up actually showing his true colors admitting he actually cares about the doomed lad. The climax, that build-up to the ending was amazing. Everything about it was on-par. That sunset, oooh, what a great buildup of momentum with suspense as well as the continuous stream of great jokes. And that twist, oh man that opens up to one hilarious ending. From start to finish this is a beautiful demonstration of what makes SpongeBob such a fantastic show.

I'd like to thank you for joining me on this near-year-long project. It certainly means a lot to me, seeing how this is something I've envisioned for over a year and finally come to finish it. I've spent the last year trying to determine the best and worst episodes of each Season, and finally completing my favorites and least favorites list meant a ton to me. Thank you, and I'll see you next time once Season 11 comes to a close. Until then-

It’s hard to think Season 11 will have any entires here when the time comes. So far most of its good episodes have been very good, but not exceptional. Likewise, its bad episodes aren’t as frequent as in Season 10 and not as bad.

Great list-shows how great SpongeBob is when a lot of these episodes are new to a top 10 list. I haven't seen Sandy's Nutmare yet. Good to see Walking Small get a lot of respect, aswell as Mid-Life Crustacean.
