I like how more and more people on the internet acknowledges that SpongeBob in renaissance period now, instead of simply hating every SpongeBob episode after the first movie.

Your infatuation is based on a physical attraction. Talk to the woman and you’ll realise you have nothing in common.

Pretty much took the words out of my mouth. This is a great video that should serve as an introduction to SpongeBob’s decline to normies as opposed to the average 15 minute hissyfit.

Also WTF it didn't die on May 6th Fear of a Krabby Patty is a godly episode and one of the best episodes of the series. You wanna go with an episode that represents the downfall go with garb like All That Glitters or Atlantis Squarepantis.

Saying SpongeBob died starting with Fear of a Krabby Patty is like saying the Simpsons died starting with Treehouse of Horror VII, just because that production run housed The Principal and the Pauper. It's a bad generalization that gives the wrong impression about that season of the show. I don't know how season 4 killed the show but the stupid season 10 episodes with their zany humor saved it.

Even though the video did do a good job explaining what exactly went wrong with the series aside from just saying the blatant statement "Hillenburg left!", but rather explaining how this negatively affected the series, and what went wrong with the characters, I find it kind of ironic he considered the premiere of Season 4 to be the day the show died. Particularly since the Season 4 premiere was written by one of the best Pre-Movie writers, C.H Greenblatt. Though I liked the rest of the video, I find the "day" the show died in particular to be a terrible excuse for when the show died. Personally, I think he should've done the day Atlantis SquarePantis aired, seeing how that was the first major Nick cashgrab (Though there were some before, this was the first huge ratings trap, and the episode's quality actually suffered as a result of that). Judging from the video, I have a feeling this is the type of guy who thinks that FOP died when Poof was born (When in reality, the series didn't start to fall by the wayside until about a year or two later).
