I hope they cancel it since we don't need a trilogy but I doubt it.

well its kinda late to cancel the movie, cause the Animatics are done and they are probably gonna go into the animation process soon. but i know its never too late to cancel a movie, but for something like SpongeBob, it's more than likely not going to be canceled. none the less, i'm excited to see the movie, i enjoyed the last two, so i'm pretty sure i'm gonna enjoy the third one.SpongeOddFan said:

I didn't think there needed to be a 3rd movie either, but since it's already a thing, I'm hoping it will at least be funny, have a good story, and overall just make it stand out. Not 100% sure what to expect, but yeah.

While I'd rather there not be a third movie, if it ends up being good that would actually make SpongeBob have one of the most solid movie trilogies of all time which would be hilarious.

Whats even going to happen in the movie, the first movie was the intended conclusion of the series, and the second movie well was like a special that was the length of a movie, which ended up being okay. Though I really don't know how a a third movie would work, even though its likely gonna be a special that's the length of a movie.

I’m expecting a few references to both movies, but I don’t want it to continue their stories. They all deserve to be 3 seperate movies that each have their own setting and ideas to expand upon and “theatricise” (not a real word, but you get my drift).

Also, how would this movie make a trilogy, when neither of the first two movies related to each other? Yes, both of them deal with the formula (but with different villians) and going on an adventure, but they're plenty of major differences that makes these three movies into a trilogy.
