I am going to be honest I am very conflicted in the movie.

PROS:
+ it’s nice that we’ll be seeing more of Ho-oh
+ The Movie art style looks cool. Too bad the ignorant people think this is better looking than Sun and Moon (stop hating on the art style)
+ Possible improvement to the first few episodes. Indigo League was overrated imo. I’m glad it got better after Johto.

As for CONS, oh boy. A lot of people are asking for Veronica Taylor to voice Ash in this movie as well as Team rocket and Professor Oak’s Original Voice actors (I do miss Stuart Zagnit and the other 4kids cast, though) to be brought back. At this point it just worthless. TPCi won’t listen even though I do like Sarah Natochenny’s voice acting as Ash: but all I’m seeing online is a war over the two voice actors to the point that they’re harassing both Veronica and Sarah. Honestly the Pokémon fandom had gotten worse since the Kalos League incident. They’re been taking the anime way too seriously. Also a bunch of people are upset that Brock and Misty are not in the movie but here’s a guess: it’s a retelling. They’re probably gym leaders. Also did you saw the new episodes where they return last month? (I hadn’t but I will when the dub comes)

Either way due to how the movie is receiving a bunch of backlash over the lack of old voices and original champions I’m holing this is over with quickly so I don’t want to hear so called fans whining about the current voices and the lack of Brock and Misty. Let’s also hope Movie 21 is the Sun and Moon canon.
