We haven't had a TV movie since Season 6, and the ones we got have been frequently labeled as horrible episodes.

Would you like another one? Perhaps it'll turn out better...

Defitenly yes. The first two were amazing episodes and a third one probably would be too.

It'll be hard for them to make it better than the first two though.

Edit: They should probably have less Patchy scenes, if any at all, in a future one though

uh, maybe but since they screwed it up the last 2 times I wouldn't want another movie

I also don't see another one happening anytime soon but if it does, cool. if its good, cool. If it sucks, that's no good.

There has been no Patchy scenes since It's a SpongeBob Christmas and those 2 TV movies already received high criticism, so I believe there won't be one.

Not really tbh. A show like this to me doesn't work as well if you haev an entire hour-long plot but that's just me.

Yes, but only if they have shorter Patchy segments. I mean, both TV movies could have been great if it wasn't for the Patchy scenes taking over almost half of the episode.

Sure, why not? Even if it's awful it's not like they're going to cancel the show

I would actually really like a third Tv movie. And I think it would turn out better than the other two.

I think it's a bad idea. Now, don't use the excuse saying THERE'S NEW WRITERS ON THE TEAM. Good writers have hiccups once in a while.

Also, in the words of PIEGUYRULZ when talking about the specials in Season 3...

"SpongeBob isn't the type of show where you can have this great epic plot, it's better if it keeps things simple."

Yeah, but there is a more likely chance of the end product being good if you have people working on it that have proven they can make good stuff. And since we're talking about a TV MOVIE, I think they would at least try to take the project more seriously rather than just "having another hiccup". A movie is a bigger deal than just any old episode.

The problem with the last 2 tv movies is that they were in an era were the show was handled by people that didn't know what they were doing and LOVED to make terrible episodes and terrible tv movies. This moment was after a majority of the old staff writers left the show IIRC.

Anyways, going back to the "good writers" argument. If there's a third, it could be good. there's a chance. I don't care for one happening anytime soon, and I wouldn't bet on it being good or ever happening at all. But if it does happen and its a good tv movie, then that means that they are capable of making a good tv movie.

Also, since these are the same people that have recently made a real feature length film for theatres which ended up being pretty good, it's safe to assume that they could handle a smaller television movie pretty well.

I assume the last two TV movies were done by a different team of staff writers that had nothing to do with the first or second theatrical films. DONT QUOTE ME ON THIS, I'M NOT SURE IF THIS IS TRUE

tl;dr: I CAN USE THE "NEW WRITERS" EXCUSE IF I ::dolphin noise:: WELL PLEASE

We'd be better off without one. Unless it was an adventure TV movie (One that actually DOES have an adventure take place), then I'm fine without one. I'd be up for one if it had a grand story that wouldn't fit in any regular, or double-length episodes.
