By the time Rugrats, the old staple of Nickelodeon, ended, it had two spinoff shows, one of which was successful. We all know Nickelodeon wants as much money as they can get, so why haven't they done this with SpongeBob?
Why hasn't there been a SpongeBob spinoff?

Spongebob's Spin-off series: The adventures of Puffy Fluffy
Main Character: Puffy Fluffy
Secondary Characters: Miss Wormsley, Le Spatula, Squid Wood, Janet and Marty, The Trenchbillies, The Splinter, the Patty in To Love a Patty, and the Bikini Bottomite who said it was Spongebob who was the problem and not Patrick
Tertiary Characters: Spongebob (Combination of his Boating Buddies/Choir Boys/Squid's Visit version and A Pal for Gary version), Patrick (Combination of way too rude version [Like in Yours, Mine, and Mine] and extra stupid version [Like Smoothe Jazz]), Mr. Krabs (Combination of way too cheap version and One Coarse Meal version).
Main "Antaganist": Gary
Secondary "Antaganists": Plankton, Squidward, Mrs. Puff
Other Characters that I can't decide whether to to make protaganists or antaganists (Minor roles): Sandy, Pearl, Larry, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, Man Ray, Dirty Bubble, Flying Dutchman, Bubble Bass, other Bikini Bottomites

Funny enough, when I was younger I wanted a spin-off focusing on what Gary did whenever SpongeBob wasn't around.
I think the reason they haven't done a spin off is because they don't need to. The show still makes them a bunch of money and all that, so what would be the point?

Because it'll be as forgettable as The Cleveland Show (I'm sure NO ONE remembers that show) if a breakout character get his/her own show.

I read/heard/saw (I don't remember) that they wanted to make SpongeBob into an adult show. Just like Ren & Stimpy adult party.

I wouldn't mind a spinoff in a different style. Worst case scenario it's a bad show. Best case it could add to Spongebob's cultural influence.
